I know Hustle is on tomorrow, but stripping Masterchef over three nights has been a bit much.”

Danny Cohen is certainly taking the piss with the MC scheduling of late. Hopefully it will sink below 4m tonight, teach them a lesson?

The specially invited hacks all tweeting wildly about The Voice? They know what side their bread is buttered on...

Prediction: Mad Dogs to do very well for Sky 1 (was much better tonight than the first series), but ITV1's Eternal Law to be left dead in the water.

I can't stand the 2 guys on MasterChef (super annoying), but I hope the ratings stay steady. Up against Eternal Law tonight, MC ought win the slot by a clear million hopefully a lot more. EL could drop under 3m, which would be embarrassing for ITV1.

I can see BBC2 doing well again, I wonder how the C4 Gypsy documentary will rate on C4 at 10:00pm?

I have gone for 0.9m for Mad Dogs - which maybe a little optimistic - Sky One haven't been doing too well this week, it got a 1.3% share last night.

The stand out rating for the night was for the Live Feed; nearly one million viewers on 5* is fantastic and it defeated Channel 5 in the slot. BBC Two also had a very good night with Stargazing continuing to be a draw for viewers. BBC One took advantage of ITV1's male skewing audience and posted excellent numbers; ITV1 themselves must've expected that kind of rating. Channel 4 posted moderate figures until One Born Every Minute which did very well. Big Brother's rating looks slightly disappointing for an eviction; it didn't see a boost at all. Benidorm ER performed ok, however, though Cowboy Builders couldn't quite hit the 1m mark.

As for the US - are we going to have a repeat of the 'disaster' comments for American Idol which we had for The X Factor before Christmas, or will it bounce back? The NFL lead in should help it on Sunday.

On a seperate issue - I hope Eternal Law doesn't dip any further; I'm enjoying it at the moment.

Once again Robbie your ratings predictions are as reliable as a plumber's estimate!

"BBC1's Masterchef served 4.49m (18.4%), winning the 9pm slot. ITV1's Eternal Law dropped to 2.99m (12.3%) / 128k (3%)+1"

They seemed quite genuine in their praise but I think you may have a point too.

You were right about both.

Very almost 3 out of 3, getting better with these ratings, I was going to dare say 3.0m for EL and 4.5m for MC - but played safe and kept it vague..

I didn't predict sub 4m, l said I hoped for sub 4m to teach them a lesson.

Had I predicted, I'd have gone for about 4.5m.

I'm glad BB did more than it did Wednesday, which is showing people it's not quite dead in the water as some people like to make out.....

Police Interceptors or World's Greatest Heroes may have dipped slightly compared to Wed night shows, or more viewers watching TV than Wed night. Also CBB BOTS will have rated less than KT documentary on Wed - so many possibilities really.

Possibly, but I've always said share of the audicence shouldn't be based on the amount of people watching all channels at that moment, but should be based on total percentage of the population watching the programme.....

The first 4 officials for CBB were released on Monday but without +1, now they have +1. With Saturday and Sunday both getting 400k+ timeshifts. Very impressive.

Launch- 3.58m
Friday- 2.83m
Saturday- 2.46m
Sunday- 2.62m

Channel 5 will be ecstatic with those numbers.

This was reported in 2006.

I wonder if given the numbers Channel 5 are getting with the show.ITV would think again about picking up the format. It doesnt seem quite the lame Duck Channel 4 would like people to think it was.

ITV seem to be just hopping from DOI to BGT to TXF with a bit of DA thrown in for good Measure.

That is brilliant for Channel 5. I see it's timeshifting even more. And plus now they have Channel 5 +1 which is bound to add more.

Channel 4 would claim anything is a lame duck to discourage other broadcasters from picking thier shows up. Anyone remember A Mind To Kill, which flopped on Channel 4 after 1 series but ended up being Channel 5's only drama to last longer than 2 series..... Eventually pulling in double what it pulled in on Channel 4.....

Not sure ITV would be that interested. They didn't even make a formal bid the last time they entered discussions and that was when it was pulling in nearly 5 million on C4.
