Public Enemies is ok,not sure the BBC has screwed up its ENTIRE winter drama schedule, aside from one episode of Hustle. Disappointing to see it rate less than Fake Britain however.
Surprised Mock the Week repeats quite so well, doesnt Dave do that? Daybreak the usual solid 0.7 million, and c5 below 1 million all night. |

I see that it's Chico time at Injured on Ice, replacing Chesney Hawks.
Hilarious. A good job they didn't call it Celebrities on Ice in the end. They'd be sued for misrepresentation....

If they'd publicised the fact Rachel Riley was on, they might have got 7m for CMM. It trended, but probably too late. I'm going to have a perve on iPlayer later....

That's a great rating or One Born, First time I had watched it. Was strangely addictive but really disturbing

Going off-air for two weeks will hardly have helped.
Lets face it, however ITV revamp it, they will struggle to tempt new viewers, and "hassled mums" doesn't even strike me as a good demographic to target, given that by being hassled it means they dont have time for TV, yet alone adverts. |

UKTV scores its highest ratings ever in 2011: Quote:
UKTV has claimed to have enjoyed its highest rating year in 2011 and boasted a 6.6% share of viewing across its ten channels on Christmas Eve. Source: Broadcast
The joint venture between BBC Worldwide and Scripps Network International saw an average share of 4% throughout 2011, up by 1.4% on the previous 12 months. On Christmas Day, comedy channel Gold was the fifth most-watched channel in pay-TV homes according to UKTV, buoyed by classic shows including Blackadder and Only Fools and Horses to achieve a 1.8% share. Original commission Morecambe & Wise: The Greatest Moment was the day’s best performing show for Gold with 528,000 viewers. Christmas Eve was the broadcaster’s highest rating individual day in its history with Dave, Gold, Watch and Yesterday each individually reporting a share of more than 1%. In the final two weeks of the year, UKTV scored its highest ratings of the 12 month period, averaging a 5% share - an increase of 10% on the same weeks in 2010. |

im not sure about that, its not like its unusual for Daybreak or even GMTV to go off air at Christmas. Besides many viewers will also be out of routine, so airing over Christmas wont have made any difference.

New rumour on CBB. Gareth Thomas. That would be very impressive. I know its unlikely for these three but Lindsay Lohan, Boy George, Michael Madsen and Gareth Thomas, surely that would be the best lineup on UK reality show TV.
But as I said, very unlikely (especially Lohan). |

It's no wonder these BBC non-soap drama are rating below 5m (sometimes well below)
They just don't have that "general entertainment" vibe that short-series drama of the past used to have, it all seems so narrow and focussed nowadays. |

Daybreak stayed on air last Christmas apart from the weekend (when it wouldn't have been on in any case). No disrespect to ''hassled mums'' (there must be millions of them, not to mention ''hassled dads''), but they seem a strange audience to target for a commercial network.Isn't the fundamental problem that ITV don't know what they want in this slot whereas BBC Breakfast has a clear idea of its audience and is successful in reaching it.

But as I said, very unlikely (especially Lohan). If Lohan wants some media attention all she has to do is take her gf for dinner, and that will have the red tops slavating, ok im not sure if she is still with her gfs, TBH im not really sure what is going on with Lohans sexuality. |

grahamzxy a good first episode is worthless, if episode 2 flops and the show is widely panned.

BBC One Thankfully Public Enemies beat 4m - maybe the best of Countryfile lead-in hurt it, I was surprised Mamma Mia repeated so well, Harry Hill scored nicely for Midweek also, Emmerdale creeping towards 8m slowly this week. Two more strong ratings for BBC2, decent shares also. Fake Britain and Celeb Mastermind guaranteeing a primetime win for BBC1 - phew...that was close, I offered 100/1 on Public Enemies not breaching 4.0m 19:00- Celebrity Mastermind: 5.1m (21.8%) 19:30- Fake Britain: 5.0m (21.6%) 20:00- Countryfile: 4.1m (16.7%) 21:00- Public Enemies: 4.1m (15.6%) BBC Two 20:00- Nature's Weirdest Events: 3.1m (12.5%) 21:00- King George and Queen Mary: The Royals Who Rescued the Monarchy: 3.2m (12.4%) ITV1 19:00- Emmerdale: 7.62m (32.5%) 19:30- Harry Hill's TV Burp: 4.43m (18.9%) 20:00- Mamma Mia!: 4.62m (18.2%) Primetime Shares BBC One: 19.2% ITV1: 18.6% BBC Two: 9.9% Ratings include HD and are full-slot averages I would argue that BBC1 is losing viewers to BBC2 this week so far - due to the quality of BBC2 shows, which at the end of the day is what the BBC is there for really.I will of course have to revise my estimates tonight, but not sure what to right now. I still expect PE to slightly beat EL, the CBB launch ought hit ITV1 more than BBC1 though. PE has an Earthflight lead-in, but EL has a Coronation Street lead-in, so less of a crossover for ITV1 is to be expected. |

Good night for C4.
Really not expecting much for CBB tonight, hardly anyone is even aware it's still around these days let alone launching a new series tonight. I really don't expect more than 3m. |

surprised to see The Chase neck and neck there. From what we were told it looked like Pointless had the 5pm hour sewn up but perhaps not? Both are about 0.5m-1m higher than you'd expect - must be quite a few people still off work, etc
Two very different but very very good shows. Will be interesting to see how they do throughout the year. |
