because ad rates are really low in early Jan. March ad rates are much higher despite the viewing figures probably being lower.

Seriously for a second, I bet Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor would not have got to peaks of 19 million had *that* not occurred in 2009. Obviously both have came back down to earth since, but it does make me wonder if both would have been as successfully if that didn't happen.
