Has anyone got any comparisons what the launch night ratings were for previous CBB series?
The only relevant figure I would suggest. I don't have a record of the older ones, and they aired on a more prominent channel anyway. |

BBC Two 18:00- Eggheads: 2.1m (10.0%) 18:30- Great British Railway Journeys: 2.1m (9.2%) 19:00- Hairy Bikers' Best of British: 2.0m (8.6%) 20:00- Nature's Weirdest Events: 3.1m (12.5%) 21:00- King George and Queen Mary: The Royals Who Rescued the Monarchy: 3.2m (12.4%) 22:00- Mock the Week: 1.4m (6.9%) 22:30- Newsnight: 0.7m (4.7%) Channel 4 (inc C4+1) 20:00- How to Cook like Heston: 1.7m (7.0%) * exc +1: 1.51m (6.2%) 20:30- The Fabulous Baker Brothers: 1.9m (7.4%) * exc +1: 1.69m (6.7%) 21:00- One Born Every Minute: 3.3m (12.6%) * exc +1: 2.83m (10.8%) 22:00- The Bank Job: 1.4m (7.3%) * exc +1: 1.21m (6.5%) C4 performing better with it's 8pm line up than most new shows it's tried there lately. I really don't get why 3.3m want to watch people giving birth (they don't even pop a baby out every minute!!!), whilst The Bank Job is holding it's audience nicely - but was an absolute car crash last night. I see that it's Chico time at Injured on Ice, replacing Chesney Hawks.
Hilarious. A good job they didn't call it Celebrities on Ice in the end. They'd be sued for misrepresentation.... ![]() Quote:
surprised to see The Chase neck and neck there. From what we were told it looked like Pointless had the 5pm hour sewn up but perhaps not? Both are about 0.5m-1m higher than you'd expect - must be quite a few people still off work, etc

Digital Spy doesn't get access to Sky Sports 1's overnights, only Sky Sports 2, hence why they never report it.

Dramatic Emmerdale tonight, the 8pm episode should rate highly. I expect it won't be far off beating Coronation Street.

Some 4oD stats for November:
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s1...-november.html 1: Misfits 3.5m 2: Hollyoaks 3m (up from 2.5m in Oct) 3: Made in Chelsea 2.8m 4: Top Boy 2.4m 5: Fresh Meat 1.8m On a per episode basis Hollyoaks would tumble down the list, but Misfits must be getting as many, if not more, views on line than it timeshifted. I guess the clashes with I'm a Celebrity helped it out on 4oD. Top Boy and Fresh Meat are interesting - the later comparing with 1.06m views of Sirens in July. |

Earthflight really is incredible. If it went out at 9pm on a Wednesday it would be doing Frozen Planet sized numbers.

Demographic Information for BBC1 and ITV1 covering the week of Boxing Day 2011 to New Year's Day 2012 (excludes soaps): http://i43.tinypic.com/f06fie.jpg
Expectedly high ABC1 skews for the BBC's dramas. And good younger demos for Sherlock too. Great Expectations' audience wasn't quite as old as I was expecting - though it did grow significantly older for the second and third episodes. Presumably younger viewers didn't have the patience! Not much to note from a pretty bland week for ITV. Always strikes me how heavy the female skew is on the channel - even when you exclude the more obviously female fare (soaps, reality stuff. etc). I mean, there's nothing about The Cube or Ad of the Year that strikes me as particularly girly. But obviously so... |

Chesney Lee Hawkes (born 22 September 1971), is an English pop singer, songwriter, and occasional actor. He is best known for his 1991 single "The One and Only", which topped the charts in the UK and reached the Top 10 in the U.S.
Always willing to help Charnham out - I think he is way before your time , he was mates with Roger Daltrey in Buddy's Song. He was more famous for his nasty facial moles than his music though. Chico really is barrel scraping though.Just seen Michael Madsen enter CBB, now he is a real movie star, so many iconic films. Natalie Cassidy playing along nicely with the earpiece, testing her acting abilities to the limits. This could be the best CBB ever, depending on the rest of the celebs. |

Considering CBB rates higher than BB and rates higher than most other stuff on the channel, tonight might be Channel 5's highest ratings of the whole year.

I would say yes, but don't forget Man U and Man City are in the Europa League, so their matches could do quite well for the channel.

Charnham, do you know who Frankie Cocozza is?
![]() 3 months ago he would have had to apply for normal BB, but by appearing on ITV for about 6 weeks he's now eligible for CBB! |

That said he does look like the type of guy who you might see hanging around a door way, making a roll up, but somehow already smelling of fags. He also looks a bit like Bridget Parker from Neighbours. This kind of talentless nobody is ideal for BB, the fact he is a minor celeb, makes him ideal for CBB. |

I think CBB could do well tonight. It's generating a lot of buzz and whilst the casting is a bit trashy I think they seem to have done a good job considering they're aiming for the 16-34s. Put it like this, I've heard of far more of the celebs on CBB than the celebs on Dancing on Ice, which has a dreadful line-up.
Eternal Law is getting a marmite reaction on Twitter, people seem to have liked it or hated it. I think it'll have started quite well from that remains to be seen. I suspect Public Enemies may well have been in third place at 9pm, as Eternal Law should have done 5-5.5m and CBB on 4-4.5m, putting BBC1's 3.5-4m in third. |
