Monday 2nd January:
ABC:
8pm - The Bachelor - 7.78m (2.4)
10pm - Celebrity Wife Swap - 6.25m (2.3)
CBS:
8pm - How I Met Your Mother - 10.14m (3.9)
8.30pm - Two Broke Girls - 12.10m (4.4)
9pm - Two and a Half Men - 13.94m (4.5)
9.30pm - Mike & Molly - 11.90m (3.8)
10pm - Hawaii Five-O - 11.90m (2.9)
NBC:
8pm - Who's Still Standing - 5.56m (1.5)
9pm - Fear Factor - 6.01m (2.4)
10pm - Rock Center - 3.78m (1.1)
The revived reality series (Fear Factor and Celebrity Wife Swap) did decent business for NBC and ABC. The Bachelor posted a series low for a premiere episode, dropping 17% from last year.
Two Broke Girls is looking like the hit of the season - right on the tail of Two and a Half Men on Monday night and outperforming HIMYM by 13%. Two Broke Girls was up 26% from Rules of Engagement last year. If CBS open up another hour of comedy, I suspect Two Broke Girls might be called upon to lead an hour.
ESPN topped broadcast for the night with 2 college football games which had 5.5 (17.6m) and 4.7 (13.8m) averages. History had a 2.4 average from 10pm with
Pawn Stars (beating ABC/NBC) and a 2.2 at 9pm for
American Pickers.
WWE Raw had a 1.8 average for USA between 9pm-11pm.
ABC Family's
Pretty Little Liars returned with 3.3m viewers and a 1.3 A18-49 rating and ranked as the #1 show of the night on all TV with females 12-34 but down a bit from its summer premiere.
The Lying Game followed it with 1.8m (0.6).
Tuesday 4th January
ABC:
8pm - Last Man Standing - 7.93m (2.4)
8.30pm - Work It - 6.16m (2.0)
9pm - Celebrity Wife Swap - 5.96m (2.1)
10pm - Body of Proof - 7.05m (1.5)
CBS:
8pm - NCIS - 19.81m (4.1)
9pm - NCIS:LA - 17.08m (3.5)
10pm - Unforgettable - 11.88m (2.6)
NBC:
8pm - The Biggest Loser - 6.59m (2.4)
10pm - Parenthood - 4.94m (1.7)
Work It premiered to not awful ratings but it probably won't be long before it hits those depths. Body of Proof and Parenthood both struggled at 10pm, the ABC show was especially low. The Biggest Loser also returned in the US on Tuesday, down 30% from last year. Parenthood was dow 26%.
On cable, more college football for ESPN pulled in a 3.4 rating with nearly 10m viewers. Two episodes of
Storage Wars on A&E averaged a 2.0 from 10pm, topping original scripted on ABC and NBC. MTV's
Teen Mom also topped those networks with a 1.9 rating.
ABC Family's Tuesday line-up came back lower than the Monday duo.
Switched At Birth had 2.7m (1.0) while new series
Jane By Design had 1.6m (0.6) - even the press folk at ABCF were subdued about the later, describing it simply as "solid".
Wednesday 4th January
ABC:
8pm - The Middle - 9.99m (3.0)
8.30pm - Suburgatory - 8.75m (2.9)
9pm - Modern Family - 14.03m (5.6)
9.30pm - Happy Endings - 7.48m (3.2)
10pm - Revenge - 8.06m (2.5)
CBS:
8pm - I Get That A Lot - 8.32m (2.3)
FOX:
9pm - Mobbed - 3.06m (1.2)
Mobbed, which did decent business out of American Idol and X Factor as a special, bombed on its own. ABC's entire line-up rose from most recent broadcasts, most improving from season/series lows just before Christmas. CBS' reality special I Get That A Lot did alright.
