Hmm, maybe - it always used to be that it was made by the comedy department so there shouldn't be too much of a clash with Sherlock. The last one wasn't very good, though, which was a shame.”

The Ones... haven't done well, primarily, because BBC1 deliberately buried them. They weren't great, the Carrott one was "borderline good", but they weren't that bad to deserve being dumped opposite Corrie. They were commissioned for Christmas, and slots were available over Christmas when these might have been better received even as a "oh well, it's Christmas, they tried" filler. I'm sure they could have got 4-5m each as a bare minimum away from Corrie, and the Carrott one I still think could have done even better, properly promoted and as the series opener.

As for Jonathan Creek, this is a vastly underrated show which was always capable of pulling 8-9m viewers and even up to 11m at its peak, and the only reason it got 6.5m for its last outing was because it aired on the Easter weekend and opposite the final Frost. But that number is still great these days, and I reckon a new Creek next Christmas/New Year would be certain to get 8m at a bare minimum. It is also the creation of one of Britain's best and most acclaimed writers, who doesn't seem to have come up with anything since the last Creek in April 2010.

It wouldn't surprise me if he's fallen out of favour - criminally so - with the new brooms at the BBC. A real shame if that's the case.

2.14m for CBB excluding +1. Should be around 2.3m with +1.

Biggest Loser also gets 2.1m.

It really is the biggest loser isn't it.

I'm curious to know how Horizon did, I stopped watching after 15 minutes because I was getting scared for the future, it was the spider goats that unnerved me.

Oh and Brian Cox constantly telling people to turn to ITV or Big Brother if they were too stupid (my interpretation) to watch Stargazing Live didn't really seem to help either heh.

It's certainly the biggest loser of the week in the 9pm battle.

And that's no mean feat when The Royal Bodyguard is on the shortlist!

TRB's 2.6m almost looks respectable in comparison...

DS really should start including +1 for Channel 5.

Great for 15 Kids.

There was little point in them as the stars that did them haven't done much comedy recently on BBC1 so the audience could refamiliarise themselves with them, The BBC should stop giving Lenny Henry comedy shows as they haven't rated well since Three Of A Kind.

Jonathan Creek certainly isn't underrated by critics and has quite a few awards under its belt including a BAFTA. You're right that it can still pull off a good rating and I'd love to see it return.

Does the Stargazing figure include the BBCHD Channel watchers as well.

Oh dear ITV. Oh ¤¤¤¤ing dear. Tbh there doing good to stay above 2 million!
Another FANTASTIC night for BBC Two and Ch4 had a really fantastic figure for 15 kids and counting.

Masterchef was a good figure, bout where it should be (could get the same at 8 though, no?)

Quote:
“BBC One: 23.8%
ITV1: 11.7% (+1: 0.6%)”

Says it all really. ITV need to sort it out. They have football tonight so that should help, but Masterchef is fixing the hole in BBC One's Wenesday schedules - so they should win I'd think.

Theres a real lack of when we see ITV pulling these figures, yet they've only been doing it consistently since last Summer. These are bad bad things.

Stargazing Live did very well again as did Channel 4 with 15 Kids & Counting. It made ITV1 4th placed at 9pm. Also Celeb Big Brother really is doing the business for Channel 5. It's got its buzz back.

*chuckles* at ITV1, oh dear. I bet Benidorm repeats would do better at 9pm, thought I'd mention that seeing its repeats at 22:35.

Good to see Celebrity Big Brother showing off it's mojo on Channel 5.

Anyone have the ratings for H&A's daytime showing (inc +1) and Channel 5 News @ 6:30pm (inc +1).....

A pretty solid night for everyone except ITV then.

The BBC1 numbers aren't particularly impressive although when compared to the depths that ITV1 sunk to I suppose they might be. BBC2 had a fantastic night thanks to Stargazing Live. I can't help but wonder if it would be capable of bigger figures on BBC1 not that I'd suggest putting it there or expect it to move there but it would certainly have provided a rather stark contrast between the BBC1 and ITV1 Tuesday night schedule...

15 Kids and Counting impressive for Channel 4. I'll never understand the appeal of shows like it but to each their own I suppose.

Five had a really rather impressive night as well. Presumably +1 figures will comfortably push them above 1.5 million from 8PM onwards. And that's a decent number for Body of Proof given how lacklustre and generally unimpressive it is. I guess ITV's collapse has helped them out there.

And then we come to ITV...

I know their big fix for Tuesday nights is football but obviously that has limitations and drawbacks. They really do need to address the general apathy audiences clearly have to their Tuesday night shows especially given the fact that its not as if the BBC (or anyone else) is particularly dominating the night and providing an obvious answer as to where viewers are going. The night as a whole though does lack identity and they've contaminated it by putting so many dire shows there. I do wonder if they might be best served trying to turn Tuesday night into a male friendly night? When the football moves there they're going to have an in built male audience to work with and promote to so finding some shows that might appeal to them when footballs not on could potentially see some success and you wouldn't have thought it could do worse than what they're serving up now.

Well they should be looking to address that as soon as possible if they are interested in fair reporting.

Body of Proof had 104k/0.6% on +1 according to Broadcast.
