I had a look in the forum and couldnt find a thread on this There's probably been some before though.

Sometimes I find it quite funny if I hear a song and think it sounds like something else. For example, the start of the verses of "Reach" (S Club 7) is (IMO anyway) basically the same melody as the start of Lionel Richie's "Truly" but sped up

Diana Vickers released a song recently and the chorus had the same chords as Under The Bridge by the Chili Peppers.

Indeed I was going to say that one, I think she got in trouble for that. Didnt she say she was listening to Under the Bridge while she was writing it?

Hear'Say's old song "Pure and Simple" sounds like a cross between Never Ever (All Saints) and All Around the World (Oasis)

It's not a dig at Oasis, I quite like them in small doses. But they're not very original, I prefer not to be slapped in the face by a bands influences.

Yeah, they're almost the same. And also Dynamite by Taio Cruz has almost the same backing track. All three of the instrumentals were composed by Dr. Luke. He's a talented guy in my opinion, but he does re-use his songs a lot sometimes.

nearly anything oasis have ever released has parts lifted from other songs . i have seen more original cracker jokes than the stuff they released.
