OK, found the live stream.

Go to www.l1.nl

At the top right of the page is a link, L1 TV, Nu: WK Wielreenen 2012 Beloften. That is the live stream. You'll need Microsoft Sliverlight.

Looks like Lucy won by a sprint finish.

Makes me wonder if Cav being coy about his chances is to throw off the others who ganged up against GB in the Olympic road race. With a bigger squad here maybe GB would have a chance of reeling in any breakaway without needing help from other teams. Maybe I'm just being optimistic.

Nice one. Will give it a try when coverage starts at 12.30 GMT.

Hopefully the bandwidth consumption won't be as high as the Eurosport Player (which has coverage starting from 14:15, though will still switch to that for the english commentary) as it burned through nearly 3gb on Wednesday when I watched the men's time trial.

Looking at the schedule for the BBC's Red Button it looks like they're also doing coverage from 12.30, but not on freeview. Though the men's race tomorrow is covered fully on freeview, bleedin F1 and football coverage instead today.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tv_a...io/5345480.stm

Edit: For a minute I thought I'd got it wrong and coverage would be on freeview until 2:30pm, with the last 2 hours delayed until 6pm, but according to the EPG on my TV there's no cyling on 301 until 6pm. Why they can't use 302 like they did in the Olympics is beyond me.

FWIW here's the schedule web site for the main Dutch television channels. I don't know if any of these can be received in Britain via satellite; neither do I know whether they are encrypted.
http://gids.publiekeomroep.nl

"Wielrennen" is Dutch for road race cycling.

Ned1 has coverage of the World Championships from 2:30pm Dutch time (1:30pm UK time) today (Sat 22-Sep-12).

Ok, thanks. I was confused due to the timings but after translating the page via google it says the 13:30 is time of the next programme and not the live cycling.

The link not currently working on my PC also added to the confusion.

Back up now! A Russian and an Italian on the attack, otherwise everyone else is in the peloton. Coming up on two laps to go.

Yup, 2 laps to go, pretty much altogether again.

I like how 'End of breakaway' is the same in Dutch and English.

Great finish. 4 guys within a wheel of each other.

Top five under-23 road race: 1. Lutsenko (KAZ) 2. Cocquard (FRA) 3. Van Asbroeck (BEL) 4. Houle (CAN) 5. Pibernik (SLO)

So both races so far have basically come down to a bunch sprint....

Didn't the TT's also not seem as favourable to the climbers as they were predicted to be? Let's see how the women fare today before we get any more hopes up.

The junior / U23 races always seem to be negatively raced and finish with sprints. A combination of short distances and riders competing more as individuals than they do in the elite races, I guess. Can't see any sprinters being in the mix tomorrow, apart from maybe Boonen (if you consider him a sprinter).

Yeah, they're talking about 6 and half hours for tomorrows race, it's going to be a different beast for sure.

What's going on with the audio on the Red Button, is it okay for everybody else?

thanks afx..........

I'd rather watch on ES...........if for no other reason that it's a lot easier to flick around the other channels to see how the footie/cricket/racing are going...........

Bit of a b*gger to keep coming out of red button, watch the 2.10 at Newm (had the winner !) then have to reload the red button..............

Unsure if this has been posted but BBC1 is showing highlights of the men's and women's TTs at 15:30.

If you're on Freeview then you can access the red button as channel 301 without having to mess about with the text system.
