Poor Gallopin. The only youngster stuck in with that mob of old fogeys. It'll be like going on holiday with your parents

Despite having no veterans, Garmin are close behind RSNT's average age with only two riders under 30. Putting Hesjedal as leader so soon after the Giro suggests a lack of depth in the squad.

With Vino back again for Astana there does seem to be a shortage of young talent to nudge the over-35's into retirement.

Given the two favourites odds are to narrow to be worthwhile, who are people backing if there is going to be an upset?

At least that means Movistar still have the Spanish champ.

Sagan, eh? Who'd'a thunk it?

I have created a DS mini league on the Halfords TDF website, and thought this the likeliest thread to find participants. See below link for details. Thanks

I thought it started tomorrow but it's today !

Early starts on Eurosport as well - 12.30 for the next few days (1.15 for the prologue today)

This is going to require some personal schedule rearrangements !

Decent ride from Gilbert, didn't think he'd be as high. Could ride into yellow tomorrow with that.

Sagan's on the road now, could be looking at the leader tonight. Got Zabriskie to chase ahead of him
