It was a shocker...........they should put it in the Giro !

Good camerawork as well because they showed a lot of side on shots so you could see the slope on the screen.........

Dont know who here is a cyclist and knows about Strava, but im following Taylor Phinney on there as he uploads his GPS data for most of his races, it showed that he rode that last climb at an average speed of around 5-6mph!

I'd bet good money it'll be in the Giro next year or the year after. It's like there's an arms race going on between the Giro and the Vuelta over which race can include the craziest climbs.

Another mountain top finish again in Trentino tomorrow.

That stage was excellent!

I think I'd have struggled walking up there!

The amount of spectators was impressive... lots of keen amateur cyclists in that part of Italy!

Oh..........forgot to watch today...........

Highlights scheduled for 6pm on ES2

Nice little 4 day race this one............new to Eurosport. A team time trial and 3 days in the mountains.........

I would thinkmit's quite a good warm up for the Giro, so it's surprising that only 5 of the top tier teams turned up

Two races next week - Turkey starts on Sunday and Romandy on Tuesday

ES really have beefed up their cycling coverage this year

LBL predictions?

I would love Voeckler to get in a nice breakaway and take the win, but I dont think he'l be allowed to get away..

My prediction: Cunego.

Ah forgot LBL was on, 40km to go, looks to be a sacrificial group a minute up the road. Will the finish suit Gilbert, or is it a flat sprint?

Is LBL the one where they finish uphill but in a town ?

Yes, first the ridiculously steep Saint Nicolas, then a long drag of 5-6 km to the finish.

nice win for Iglinksky and nice to get a few new names winning the monuments.

Gilbert just doesn't seem in great form at the moment, but even that puts him above most in the peloton. What will his targets be now ? Olympic gold ?

Oh blimey.............Vino's back !...........

After breaking his leg and retiring from the sport during last years TdF............he's back riding for Astana in the Tour of Turkey

He's currently up the road in a break on stage 2............4 minutes up and 49k to go

The Belgians will need to decide who their man for the Olympics is, Boonen or Gilbert? Although I guess they both have the same tactic really - make the race hard and drop Cav.

Hang on... every team in the race apart from GB has that tactic...

Classic stuff! Really a great moment for him. (Obviously, if you didn't see it, the peloton had been broken up by a few decent pulls in the last 20K).

Was odd to watch, looked like he went initially to stay out of trouble.. then looked behind and twigged he could just keep going. Top stuff anyway.

So its Wiggins vs LL Sanchez in a hilly 10m TT, Europsport coverage at 3pm UK.

can see Wiggo making up that time of LL Sanchez. Should be an interesting final TT though, Rogers is pretty decent in the TT too so could even be a Sky one two

Come on Wiggo............

Just watching the last stage of 'Turkey' and the guys are saying what a fantastic stage it was yesterday and people are texting in to say how fab it was............but I couldn't find any coverage yesterday and assumed it was the usual week-end 'no cycling' because of motor bikes and tennis.........

Great ride from Wiggins who won despite a chain problem to be the first Brit to win the Tour de Romandie. It's amazing that a guy who specialist in 4k on the track has turned himself into a very impressive tour rider. Last year the winner of the Tour de Romandie won Le Tour.

Next week Cavendish and Thomas ride in the Giro.
