Michael: I said at one point my dignity wasn't for sale, because I kept thinking about my sons telling me as I left my driveway in Malibu, 'Dad, don't go on that show!' They were very concerned about their father being involved in buffoonery [Michael has 5 sons whose ages range from 6 to 22]. I was less worried about my professional integrity than my sons seeing their father make an ass of himself.
New: What did your wife DeAnna think of the show?
Michael: She's watched it on YouTube in the US. She thought it was kind of strange, but addictive. I had a really hard time without her because we've been together for 18 years. She's a vixen!
New: You often seemed a bit puzzled by CBB. Did you do it for the money?
Michael: Of course there was the money, but I wanted to find out what kind of social animal I am. I found that I'm not a social animal. And I love the UK. I wouldn't have done it in Florida.
New: Any words for your former co-star Vinnie Jones, who recommended you do CBB?
Michael: You f***er. F***ing f***er. No, I love Vinnie. He's a good bloke.
