Best group by any chance? To be fair, the group work there arses off. Successful tour, they promote the hard way, singles did ok, album hasn't shined on the chart but there still chance.
And best group, single and breakthrough are a public vote. |

They won't get one. Trust.
But they should deserve one for the reasons you said. Their new album was great. |

zilch.... i thought they might have at least got a nomination for best new group a few years ago, but tbh i dont think the general public know who they are or can name anything by them other then 'up' and 'i just cant get enough'.... no one (except me) even got 'ego' in last nights music quiz...

No chance, unfortunately. They deserve a nomination for All Fired Up with Best British Single though IMO.

They're in the press pretty much constantly, they are practically a household name - everyone I know knows of them, but like you say, couldn't name many of their songs. People just don't buy into their records but they are aware of them, otherwise the girls wouldn't have sold over 3 million records which is nothing to scoff at especially when they never had a huge platform to launch themselves from like Girls Aloud and or Little Mix. Plus some of The Saturdays singles have sold better than Girls Aloud's, who are hailed as some kind of Gods and ridiculously overhyped, so I don't know why people put The Saturdays down all the time.

And annoyingly even that category will most likely be dominated by Adele, Jessie J, One Direction, Pixie Lott, Professor Green, Olly Murs, The Wanted, JLS, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran. All Fired Up is one of the best singles this year IMO. And it got the highest first week sales of all The Saturdays singles. Ugh.

The chances are as high as the UK being basked in warm sunshine from May to September.

There's more chance of Amy Winehouse presenting an award than The Saturdays scoring a nomination. |

I think its very unlikely. Although they do tend to nominate a token pop group in that category every year, so its not completely impossible. But I think they'd be much more likely to go for one of the boybands - probably One Direction - over The Saturdays.

I doubt The Saturdays will last that long. Their last album was a complete bomb.

The Saturdays are manufactured crap, there's nothing even remotely original or authentic about them, if they ever won a BRIT it would be sad day for British music.
