SCD stars on new series of BBC The Magicians

Some SCD stars are taking part in the new series of The Magicians starting tomorrow night (Sat 7th) on BBC1 at 18.35. This is the second series of this, but the first time it will be broadcast LIVE with a public vote.

The concept of the show is there are 4 world class magicians, each paired with a celebrity, and each pair has 4 magic tricks to perform. Two of these tricks are pre recorded, and the other two will be performed live each Saturday.

There is a telephone vote where the celeb/magician with the lowest number of votes then has to face a dangerous live forfeit!! I didn't see the last series, but looking at this clip from BBC breakfast this morning of one of Flavias pre recorded tricks, it looks great!!

From about 11mins

Tomorrows show has FLAVIA in it and next week has CRAIG and on one of the other episodes ARLENE! Not sure if there are other SCD people any other weeks, but those are the ones I know about so far

Not more "celebrities doin' stuff?"

I'll give it a miss.

I find magic shows boring at the best of times.
The temptation to shout "get on with it" when they try to inject a bit of tension into a trick is sometimes inescapable.
