Katarina
If anything, she is even more qualified than Robin to be a judge. Twice Olympic Champion. Also, if you type "Katarina" into Google, her name is first on the list.

Now this lady really is what I'd call an A-grader. And, guess what, she hasn't been in a soap!

Wasn't she the one who caused a stir by wearing a figure hugging catsuit in a competition?

Kati was well known for pushing the boundaries with her costumes - the most notorious was the showgirl outfit in the 88 short programme. Great routine but they kind of cut the skirt to negliable lengths which really consisted of a few tactfully placed feathers where the skirt was supposed to be.
After that they brought in strict rules re costumes |

» However, in Robin's favour, he has tons of experience choreographing couples in ice shows. » And in Katarina's favour, she's been a judge on Battle of the Blades in Canada, so she has experience judging these types of shows. I'm really looking forward to seeing the new judges' panel. Robin and Katarina are both amazing and innovative skaters. Can't wait for the new series to start tonight! |

I'm so glad that she's on the panel.
I said last year on here that I'd love to see her replace Emma. Dreams can come true. |

I have almost zero knowledge about ice skating so the big winning names of the ice world (like Katarina) go totally over my head (apart frm Jane and Chris obv) so nice to see that DOI have a 2x Olympic champion as judge. Wish Stictly got a poper Ballroom and Latin champion as judge!

I think she is already the best female judge ever on DOI.

What a great addition to the panel. Seriously. She knows what she's talking about. Her comments were great. Adds real class to the show. She's also a fox but thats besides the point

Love Katarina - such a shame they didn't get her sooner and we had to put up with Emma & Ruthie for 4 years.

I do like Katarina and think she is a good addition to this years judging panel. Only minor gripe I have is that I think she needs to reign in her commenting slightly just found a couple of times that I felt she was going on a bit and found it a little bit boring but her comments were good just maybe could have been condensed a teeny bit (Please don't hurt me)

I just felt that particulary her vote on who was staying/leaving was a bit long and could have been brought back in a bit and don't know whether that had anything to do with it or whether it has been scrapped this year but we didn't see Andy and Maria's best bits so whether because the vote took a it longer and they had to miss it out I don't know or whether this is something else that has been taken out this year guess we will need to wait and see.
As I say I have a huge amount of respect for Katarina and glad to see her on the panel it just felt like that was going on forever when it could have been cut back a little bit. |

Not sure if you can have a best bits VT after one show - we saw their routine twice and opening VT. Not really much more to add!
