Blackstreet - No Diggity in the iTunes charts
For some reason this song has been hanging around the middle of the iTunes top 200 for ages, currently at #117. Anyone know why? A TV show or something? Even as a Cher Lloyd fan it surely isn't because of her No Diggity/Shout X Factor performance in 2010? I don't think people thought it was that iconic.
![]() ETA: Seems that it's being mostly downloaded off of a compilation called R&B Classics Collection if that makes any difference.

I've heard it somewhere recently, but I have a feeling it was X Factor USA, which doesn't really explain it since that was weeks ago and doubt the effect of an ITV2 show would leave it in the charts this long.
Perhaps just the fact it's awesome has put it in the charts and people are spotting it in the charts and purchasing to remind themselves of the greatness. |

Yes, I know the reason!
![]() Basically, iTunes are doing this promotion tactic, where they discount a bunch of songs, and place adverts for them on the home page. I think they do this every week, and No Diggity is very often one of the songs that are discounted and advertised, hence it having cropped up in the top 200 regularly for the past few months. It's fantastic song. It's nice that it's had a little revival in the past couple of years.
