That would be a shame as I was really looking forward to a new album from Marina.

So I'm honestly not surprised that people are put off her, when she insults them and the music they like.

That said, I do think some of her songs are good. I was just a bit upset to watch an interview where she basically told me that I was stupid. lol”

Marina is so self depricating that I find it hard to imagine she said her lyrics where amazing, she's constantly calling herself and her music crap. The rest sounds like her, but that one part doesn't sound right.

Those last three pertain to practically anyone in the industry. Close your eyes and you can see Marina's face morph into GaGa's on the merit of those three criticisms.

I would hope that 679 have learned from Plan B that sticking with your artists and trusting in their talents can bring great reward. Had 679 dropped Plan B after his first album flopped they would have missed out on the massive success that was his second. And Marina's first album did much better than Plan's did, although obviously we don't know what difference in budget Plan and Marina's albums had.

Even with Plan B though they have shown to be difficult buggers by refusing to release his third album because it's hip-hip (so if rumours of it being cancelled are true they may just not be happy with the style of Electric Heart) so they could well do anything to Marina, who they may well decided being a successful niche artist isn't good enough for the budget they provide her with (although personally if that was the case I would just lower the budget to fit such an artist and not drop her) or her success may well be what they expected and are happy with.

But anyway magically since this thread started she's gone album mad on Twitter so for now I will assume all is well in Marina land at the minute and look forward to the album very much.

true enough it does seem as though Marina keeps coming up short

Marina & The Diamonds had a hit with 'Radioactive' in 2011. It charted in the top 30 which was average success considering the competition. It is highly unlikely she would be dropped so quickly - her debut 'The Family Jewels' was 6/10 for me; it had very catchy hits like 'Oh No!', 'I Am Not A Robot', 'Hollywood' and 'Mowgli's Road' but there were some strange inclusions, like 'Hermit the Frog' and 'Rootless'. I hope she releases more material, but she is far more talented than Little Boots.
