It's fantastic we'll get the full first album, though I imagine she'll remaster it

So I was in HMV today and I was glad to see their big promotional posters of Lana up, though i don't quite get the "Queen of Hearts" tagline on them...is it a play on Coney Island Queen that she references quite a bit in the album?!

Anyway, I was surprised to see the deluxe version of the album is being sold in that cheap, cardboard sleeve. wtf? The standard is fine though.

Really happy Lana now has rights over her scrapped album
Several tracks on there i was a bit annoyed didn't make Born to die so i can't wait to eventually own it in a physical format sometime this year

Does anyone think she'll add some tracks that didn't make Born To Die onto the original album? I'm mainly thinking of Kinda Outta Luck here, love that song.

Oh it will be immense to hear her stuff of her first supposed album recordings....hopefully they will be unleashed later this year on an EP or something...or perhaps save for the future maybe.

I know Born To Die will definitely launch her to new heights! I cannot wait to own the album....SOmething about it released this time of year...a kinda magical vibe i always get lol...wintery/into spring surrealties lol....cannot put my finger on it. But Born To Die really is painting these vibes for me

Cannot wait o own it and hear it and blast it!

Now had time to play this album maybe 10 or 12 times all the way through and I can confidently say this will be in the running for album of the year come 31/12/12 imo (when the stupid' is she authentic?' BS will be a distant memory). It's totally addictive stuff.

I am already dreading the future threads "Is lana flopping", "who here can't stand Lana", what is the appeal of Lana". We will get them within the next 11 months.

Ah well they can stay pressed, it's only natural for artists to get criticism

Average rating of a disappointing 62 so far on Metacritic That will be the American reviews dragging the score down for sure.

Well DS gave it 4 stars which was predicted however, they've done a nice little write up

Just bought the album this morning and really enjoying it so far. I'm on my first listen and just playing 'radio' at the moment. So far (apart from 'video games', 'born to die' and 'off to the races' ), 'diet mountain dew' is my favourite.
Have to admit, a few of the songs do sound a little samey - 'radio' sounds a bit like 'born to die', but the similarities might fade after a few listens.

Mine was sent by Amazon on Saturday so if it doesn't get here today i won't be ordering any more pre release albums from them.

On my second listen to the entire album. Really, really enjoying it. So far the only track I'm not very keen on is Carmen, but I'm sure it'll grow on me!

Just listened to through for the first time for the most part I really like it Summertime Sadness, What Makes Us Girls, Born to Die and Dark Paradise would probably my favourites so far but some of the songs do sound very similar would have been nice to have a bit more variety but for a debut album it's great.
