I think it may be her first official solo project. She is one of the girls from Diddy Dirty Money, and has released a song called SMFU (Save Me From U).

She's a great singer, and I hope she goes solo. She reminds me of a young, fresh Brandy, and I think the song may do well with the r&b/urban radios in US at least.

nice song, loved her in DK. only problem is urban radio can be hit and miss in the US judging from the positions vs artists. kelly rowland had a mega hit with Motivation but Lay it on me (which IMO is a bigger tune) flopped - no idea why!! it might be big like alicia keys' unthinkable or it might be a mid hit. I hope it does well for dawn. She really needs stuff with a bang though to get more attention and airplay. she ought to do a beyonce - mainstream singles and urban singles. stick to the core audience whilst bringing in the big money. it works if you get it right. diddy should know this!!

I know what you mean with urban radio being hit or miss and your example of Kelly. It can be tough for upcoming r&b artists. Though with the help of Diddy, he could really push Dawn. He sure helped Mary J. Blige a lot in the beginning and she's went to new levels. I sometimes think the things that can harm new r&b stars is that they are compared to others (Ciara, Keri Hilson etc.)

This girl could go places with the right songs and a decent shot.

About time she done her own stuff too. Wasn't really feeling the whole Diddy-Dirty Money thing, though they do have some good songs. I want Dawn to be bigger than what she is now. Someone from Danity Kane has to do well lol.
