only recently. it wasnt always like that. she did have a team behind her LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, but it wasnt till Good Girl Gone Bad that she shone after adopting a dance pop/urban approach. and it worked, and she's never looked back since, as she should
I think the chris brown thing and Rated R were a massive personal turning point for her, she's become quite carefree with a "i dont give a f#*#" attitude" hence her adopting the madonna sexual approach. However Rihanna's doing it too fast and needs to slow down. Her albums should become bodies of work at this point in her career, not simply def jam shipping out songwriters to her on holiday in barbados as they've just done!
