Siobhan Donaghy Appreciation Thread
Just listening to Ghosts, such an amazing album. I think it criminal how overlooked it was.
What do you think of it and its predecessor 'Revolution in Me'? What are your favourite songs by her? Mine is "Coming Up For Air". |

Hey Siobhan has been knocking round the back of my mind for some time and only recently have i discovered her and decided to delve in
Revolution In me is good indie pop by numbers with some interesting and very good songs but Ghosts wow totally breathtaking she sort of preceded the new wave of indie girls La roux, Ellie, Florence and in some parts surpasses with her frank honest tales of love and woe to eastern beats and kate bush inspired madness love love it ![]() Favourites: Don't Give It up So you say 12 bar acid blues Overrated |

Ahead of her time, all she needs is a little promo now and I think she could climb the charts

Definitely a year or two later and she'd be doing much better than in 2003, and 07 its a shame she has rejoined the babes EEk!

Her Ghosts album remains one of my all time favourites, I hope after all the Sugababes stuff dies down she brings out a brilliant third album.

I was really hoping for a third album. I feel a tiny bit disappointed she rejoined with the girls.

I forgot to add earlier, Twist of Fate is one of the most underappreciated songs, ever.

Siobhan had so little commercial success that a third album would just be unrealistic. She would find any investors or a label, and they know they make no money off it. HEr best chance of actually getting a third solo album is rejoining her old group. Her profile will shoot up again, interest in her old material will increase, and she now stands a far better chance of landing a new solo deal (especially if 1.0 do well commercially). |

From what I heard, Siobhan was the one pushing for the renunion (along with Mutya). Kiesha was intially reluctant because she was recording solo material.

I really really love Siobhan.
I love both her albums, but I think (like most people) I prefer Ghosts. I have made so many people listen to that album and not one person didn't like it. It is AMAZING. Favourite songs on it are: Goldfish, Medevac, Ghosts and Coming Up For Air She is a genius. Love her to pieces |

ITs my opinion and I felt she was just odd on her own. The sugababes brought her voice out more, It's just such shame that it didn't work out...what makes em think a second time will?

if being weird means being unique and talented and not predictable like every other woman in music, then yes she was weird |

Been a huge Siobhan fan since the beginning. I have both her albums and all her singles (imo, some of her best songs are only on her CD single releases, which is crazy!). Revolution In Me is still my favourite of her albums. She has a beautiful voice and has recorded some wonderful music. I just wish she'd have more success. It'll certainly be weird if she has teamed up with Mutya and Keisha again (I take it there's still no official confirmation of this?). I just hope the music will be good and not TOO far removed from Siobhan's solo stuff!
