Agree with the OP, Papi is perhaps one of Jennifer Lopez's best, and I thought it'd be inescapable. If she released it instead of I'm Into You I think it would have stood a better chance.

Also agree with Nicola, I'm slightly biased as a huge GA fan, but I thought Beat Of My Drum would do well in a marmite-y kind of way?

I expected, "Rain Over Me," by Pitbull and Marc Anthony to do quite well, chart-wise, but, it only reached #28. Same with, "International Love," with it charting at #94.

Actually, listening to Battlefield again - it's one of the best pop songs of the 00s.

Yasmin - Finish Line (one of my favourite songs of last year. With better promotion this could have been big)
Ms Dynamite - Neva Soft (another one of Labrinth's amazing productions)
JLS - Do You Feel What I Feel?
Alesha Dixon - Every Little Part of Me ft Jay Sean
Avril Lavigne - What The Hell
Belle Amie - Girls Up
Marina and the Diamonds - Radioactive (If We Found Love didn't exist, this would have been HUGE!)
The Kooks - Is It Me
Natalia Kills - Mirrors
The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over
SoundGirl - Don't Know Why

definitely agree on otis. it's short, people love it and i think only 2 words need to be censored. i know radio isn't as important as it used to be but random decisions like not playing that song still irk me.

for that matter the indifference towards 808s era kanye except heartless. pretty much that whole album could've been a single imo

also anything by janelle monae other than tightrope.

This was my favourite single of Diana's, and I even preferred it to Once.

This was so much of a real song, which I would not necessarily have said about All Fired Up (and maybe not Notorious either), and I thought it would be in the top 5 for the whole of December at least.

Also in recent years I am so used to Joshua Radin's Brand New Day being a classic that I keep forgetting it wasn't a hit.

Completely agree with JLS... it's the only song of their's I've at all liked, so catchy! Then again I'm far from a fan and not in their target audience so the fact that I liked it probably explains why it didn't do well... ha.

My offering to the thread is 'All of the Lights' (Kanye West featuring Rihanna etc). I thought it was a guaranteed smash hit, especially with insanely popular Rihanna singing the hook.

Try With Me - Nicole Scherzinger, after the x factor performance i was sure it'd go top 5
