Nothing wrong with Christine, even though she's seemed nervous, she's being doing OK. I like her anyway, has she lost some weight? - The Daybreak mess wasn't her fault - it was program structure and content that was the problem!
Christine will settle in, but that Louis Spence - OMG - bring back Jason, please.

I think she's great. Polite, professional, and knows how to dress herself. Definitely better than Holly.

That sums up where I am coming from too. I am not a fan so was not expecting to enjoy watching the show with her on, but I thought she did OK. Some of the face pulling will have to stop, but probably due to nerves. Overall I thought she had an easy going style and fitted in to the show rather than taking over it. I would go as far as to say that I think Tess Daly could learn a few things from Christine.

She is a frazzled turkey ... James Nesbit in a Cheryl Cole wig.

Not a favourite here but pleasantly surprised, doing very well so far.

She did well. It wasn't quite as natural as we were used to from Holly, but it's her first show. Remember Holly and Phillip started on this one together, so they had less pressure, and more time to build a rapport.

To be fair, she didn't really do much, and now with just three judges, and so far no squabbles, they just give their comments in turn.

I think Christine needs to get back to the same form
she was on "The One Show".

She needs to relax more and have fun.
Didn't like her facial expressions (grimace/frown)
Also her lipstick and eye makeup was too strong, need
to tone it down to lighter shades.

I was more concerned about Louis Spence trying to take the
role of token camp gay guy. However, he surprised me
and took the role more seriously. He acted professional
and gave good critique. Well done Louis

I think Christine was absolutely fine and although she doesn't have knockers as good as Holly's, her presenting abilities were just as good.

I agree. I really did not like some of the outfits Holly wore. Holly for me was like a doll. Christine as much as I wanted to dislike her, has created a good impression. No point in hating someone for the sake of it.

Christine is a charming, naturally friendly personality and presenter and as has been said, she looked elegant and beautiful in the long red dress. Good luck to her.

Christine looked very thin, which I thinked aged her face, has she lost weight? She seemed abit nervous which is expected, hope she settles in okay, but I miss Holly already, but Love Love Louie.

Dont think anyone has said they hate her, she's just not everyones cup of tea hence the big turn off of Daybreak.

Maybe if she softened her image a bit and didnt come over so hard faced people would take to her more or maybe its the Frank Lampard thing which she gushes about.

Whatever it is, its going to lose them viewers.

Rabbit with big teeth caught in headlights replaces airhead Dolly with low-cut frocks.

So original.

To me she came across as desperate and unsure of herself. I'm sure she'll settle down and be okay next week.

I have never really minded Christine, she seems a nice enough person and I think she receives a lot of unfair criticism that she really does not deserve to get.

I liked her on The One Show but I never really got all the hype over her and Adrian to be honest but still, I liked her. I feel she did really well tonight, yes she was slightly nervous in places but nerves are a good thing and it was the first show so hopefully the nerves will dissapear next time and she'll be back to the old Christine. I just don't think it's fair to criticise someone when they haven't even been given a chance yet. Yes - there was the whole Daybreak fiasco but that is nothing to do with this and IMO that was nothing to do with Christine or Adrian Chiles anyway. I think she did really well tonight and should be proud of herself Plus she looked amazing! Very beautiful.

On a side note, I also quite liked Louie Spence. I've never been a fan of him and was a bit alarmed when I heard he was going to be on the DOI panel but I actually really warmed to him. Yes, he's a bit OTT but I guess it's always nice to have someone a bit different on the panel and he knows his stuff - it's nice to have the contestants being judged on what they are actually doing rather than judges bickering the whole time. I really like the DOI panel, very constructive comments.

Never been a big fan of Christine although I have no hate for her either, she just seems to have been over-hyped beyond her ability whilst on the One Show and found out since.

I thought she was definitely the weak link on tonight's show but I'm willing to give her a chance and I think she'll improve. Let's face it Holly was very wooden when she started and only a bit less wooden when she finished, it was like mahogany changing to pine...

Quote:
“New Dancing On Ice host Christine Bleakley has received a poor reception from viewers on social networking site Twitter, despite what appeared to be a successful first show for the ex Daybreak presenter.

Christine, who took over from ex host and fan favourite Holly Willoughby, emerged looking "stunning" according to judge Louie Spence, in a scarlet floor-length dress. After receiving well wishes from Holly, who will go on to present BBC's The Voice, before the show, viewers were not so complimentary after describing her as "boring" and "bland".

Following the end of the show, the negative comments were out in force, with one user stating “she puts the bleak in bleakly" and another announcing that they wish Holly would return.

"Christine has nothing on Holly, bring her back!", it read.

Despite the somewhat undeserved criticism, things weren’t all bad for Christine after she seemed to be having a pleasant on screen time with new co-host Philip Schofield. The pair seemed to gel delightfully and often exchanged the odd piece of toilet humour, most notably a bad joke about a bear.

In the midst of negativity, Christine received some positive comments online, with a small number of people expressing how "elegant" she looked and how wonderfully she had done.”

I was prepared to be irritated - but no - think that for a first programme she made a pretty good fist of it.

Did think, though, that she looked more thin tnan is healthy,
