I think Christine will be great once she's had a chance to relax a bit and find her feet with this show.

I do wish she'd eat something, though. She was always slender but the poor girl looked pitifully thin tonight.

I hardly think a few twonks on Twitter and Jim Shelley speak for the entire nation, or indeed 10 million viewers. Sorry but I think the media are just out to slate her because of how much she gets paid.

Far too many presenters

I liked her on the One Show and thought that tonight, especially considering it was her first show, she did very well.

Much preferred Christine's voice to the awful noise made by her successor on the One Show.

I was dreading her being on the show, just don't like her as a presenter but I have to admit, I think she did a pretty ok job last night and she did look lovely.

As wooden as a puppet. Loved your description

Are they putting creosote in the fake tan booths now?

I will watch the first show, I won't let her ruin it for me. If she get's on my nerves that much, I will tape the rest of the shows and ff through her bits. I hope people don't desert the show totally because of her, otherwise there will be no more DOI one of my favorite shows.
Why they gave her this role, one of the most high profile on tv after she ruined Daybreak, is totally beyond me.”

Great idea - think I'll do the same, can't stand the woman

I thought she was ok done exactly what Holly does talks to the Judges.

I thought she was dreadful, no personality whatsoever. Bring back Holly.

I thought she did OK, and it was good to see the second presenter being given a bit more to do in terms of talking briefly to the skate-off contestants.

I have never particularly liked Christine so was pleased when she left the One Show; I miss Holly! But she wanted to leave for other things, I understand, so what can you say.

Don't listen or watch the presenters anyway so it's not really a problem. Have never seen anything with Christine on before and can't say I'm bothered that I missed her arrival on the presenting scene because she's extreamly bland, but as I said I do other things while the presenters talk and only watch the video clips and the skating itself so they are both irrelavant (sp!) to me.

Christine is lovely - much prefer her than sleazy looking HW - I think there is a lot jealousy on DS - mainly because she Is going out with FL who adores her - she is a good presenter - quiet but effective and comes across as a smart lady with plenty of self esteem - good luck Christine

If you want to hear an awful noise listen to the english presenter Stacey Soloman.

I've never found her to be that attractive before, but I thought on DOI she looked stunning and her presenting was good. I can't bear that vacuous Holly Willoughby and don't miss her at all

I went to watch DOI last night and wasn't looking forward to Christine replacing Holly as I've always found that Christine comes across as really up herself. I've got to say that she completely turned my mind around. She was absolutely lovely, really attentive with the audience and surprisingly down to earth. She also looks a billion times better in real life, not nearly as skinny as she looks on screen and really pretty.

A great post. Will admit I'm no great fan of Christine's, and didn't particular like her on Strictly, but I was very pleasantly surprised by her on DOI last night. She was there to do a job, and she did it well. Preferred her style (especially her dress sense) to that of Holly W.

I hope you had a great time at DOI last night.

Why? Because of her sparkling...personality?

it was the lack of chemistry with Philip that struck me, they barely seemed to look at each other. I guess that will come over time though.

I think she is more suited for DOI than morning breakfast show. It plays more to her skill sets. Hope she continues to do well.
