She is relaxing into the show now and doing well.

Must say, I've been pleasantly suprised by her on DOI. She's grated on me in her other shows, and I expected more of the same - but I've not minded her in the least, maybe because she's not too prominent. Thought she looked much better last week than this, though. Also, much prefer the new panel.

I was never a big fan of Christine because I never thought she was a great presenter anyway, but I think she's actually better than Holly.

Her make up was better this week but I wasn't a fan of the dress. Have to agree that it did look nightdressy

I think she's dreadful - and what's with waving her arms about with every sentence ???

This is quite an entertaining thread - seriously. It's like a game of chess, with a spate of Christine's defenders posting, followed by detractors and so forth. Muggins here missed the first week of the programme due to work committments and came to the thread late, only to inadvertantly post (as a detractor), while the defenders were on in some strength and I duly received my comeuppance. A few posts later the detractors seemed to be in command, to little reaction and now, the supporters are having their say. This is what I like about ds - it allows for all opinions to be heard, which is good as long as criticism does not become personal or vindictive (which admittedly it sometimes can). I will need to be more selective about my timing when I next post to avoid the wrath of the opposition

My sentiments exactly. For the first time since Dancing on Ice started we've turned over - for some reason I can't bear to watch while Bleakley is on. She lost us to Daybreak and we've never gone back.
I can't put my finger on it and I've never felt so strongly about anyone on tv before. Sad isn't it. |

Sadly, CB is turning me away too but maybe a recording and whizzing past her is worth a go? Might give it a try rather than miss the show completely.
Why, oh why, when the breakfast programme was such a disaster, did ITV inflict her on DOI - is it, too, about to fade out ??? |

I just can't warm to her. There's nothing about her to like or dislike. She's mildly annoying but I don't think there's much else about her.

Whether it is Christine or Holly is neither here nor there for me. The role isn't significant enough for me to pay that much attention to it. To be honest, I don't know why Philip can't just do what the female presenter does. He hardly has a huge job on his hands either. It would save a salary.

I know Philip is rather grey but he is hardly frail elderly and unsteady on his feet.

I don't like Christine and avoid programmes she is in but as this is my favorite show, I can't avoid this one.
I must say though, I think she is doing a pretty good job and her dresses and hair look fabulous so I have been pleasantly suprised. She is not on for long anyway. |
