Yes - 'favourite' would have been better then I could have voted for Andy W. He was much better than I expected him to be and I just loved the choreography - this is the one I shall be watching again on youtube!
But Jorge was easily the best skater so had to be honest and vote for her.
Charlene did really well too. For a first outing, I thought they did much better than the ones last year (except for Mark
)

Jorgie was the best but I enjoyed Andy A the most. Hope Mark gets another chance, I'd rather not good but entertaining in the early weeks than good but little personality.
I thought Andy A was by far the best. Astonished that he went out tonight. He was the only one I was looking forward to seeing again. The only one who could actually dance.

Being a classically trained dancer doesn't mean you can skate as we saw with Jeremy Sheffield in 2010. Jorgie wasn't just good at the dance element she was good at the skating as well.

Has the OP or anyone else asked the mods for this thread to be pinned? Seems to make more sense for this to be pinned that the live show discussion thead.
I don't know who Jorgie is as I don't watch teenage soaps but their performance was beautiful and even more so for it being the first night. Obviously her dance background has her at an advantage bodywise but if she's never skated before as I think she said she's certainly got a talent for it. It was lovely to watch, but I do prefer to see them struggle at the the start and watch their improvements so I do wander if her 'perfect' performance will go against her as the others improve..its going to be hard for her to excell each week after a start like that.

Not necessarily. Her fear with her leg will put her at a disadvantage though
