I cannot believe what Louie Spence said this evening.

If it was Jeremy Clarkson people would be rounding on him already. It is totally unacceptable to use this kind of language and he should be sacked immediately.

Bring Jason Back!!. Louie is very much like Emma and does not understand Ice dancing. Why put people to judge when they have probably never done it themselves.

I was kind of hoping I'd misunderstood what he'd said.

Very apt comment and I thought it quite funny.

You are welcome to your views, but personally, I do not think this is the kind of language which is acceptable in any walk of life and certainly not on national TV.

Louie has exactly the same qualifications to judge as Jason did - he's a professional dancer and choreographer.

So far he's managed to get through the show without insulting anyone or being nasty or making personal comments.

Good Riddance Jason - shut the door behind you!

That was a nasty comment, but not a Jason-type NASTY COMMENT.

I thought it was funny! Does that mean I am in trouble with the PC folk?

Hardly the most offensive thing said on TV. It was funny.

Clutching at straws much to bash Louis?

Jason has said much more offensive things in his time on the show and Louie did not say this in any malicious way and it was the most apt comment with regards to the performance.

Think your interpretation of the comment has been a litte oversensitive.

I dont get it, why is the term "remedial dad dancing" insulting?

Honestly I have no idea what conclusion is being drawn here?

I think you may have misunderstood the comment. I don't think he was talking about 'remedial dads', eg mental impairment, but rather sub-standard 'dad dancing'.

Certainly not a firing offence.

I agree 'remedial' refers to the dancing not the dad.

If were going by that then what about Katarina's comment that "Russian men will always catch you" which is an interesting comment since she was brought up in Communist East Germany.

I don't think it was done in a Jason Gardiner way who would have used it has a personal attack rather than about the skating quality LOL.

Let me help you: he said remedial Dad-dancing.

Dad-dancing being a way of dancing like a Dad at a high shcool disco. Remedial means deficient in skills and needs to improve.

remedial - Adjective: curative; providing a remedy; intended to correct or improve deficient skills in some subject.

Basically he was saying that it was a performance that looked like dad dancing but only worse than that. Something below dad dancing. Context, People! Honestly, some people just look for some reason to bash someone. So much so they are willing to create their own reasons out of misinterpretations/misunderstandings.

Funny how in the short VT in the results show, he said "Dad dancing", obviously even the producers thought his original words were a bit odd.

Give the guy a break. The world is getting over-sensitive. It wasn't a personal attack on anyone or group of people.

People will jump on that - wrongly possibly - as it's one step away from the 'R' word which must not be said.
