With the first show just finished, what were your initial impressions of the new panel in comparison to the old one?

I thought on the whole it was better than the old one, I'm especially glad they got rid of Emma. But at times, I have to admit, I was missing some of Jason Gardiner's 'nasty' comments. Louie and Katarina were quite fair with their marking but sometimes I didn't understand what they were saying

Too early to say but the new panel seems really good so far. Bunton is gone so I'd be inclined to say its better!

Much prefer the new panel. I even like Christine which I did'nt think I would.

Overall a big improvement.

I'd say Katarina is a shoe-in the stay next year; perhaps Louie's on probation a bit. Will he be pressured into being more Jason-like with a bit more nastiness ?

I miss Jason but not Emma

Big improvement on last year so far. Glad to see that Jason Gardner's opinion no longer matters and I never understood how Emma Bunton was qualified to be a judge.

Easily the new panel!

Much better all round we have two judges who understand the intricacies of skating and one who is very well qualified to comment on the dance and performance aspects.

I don't miss the nasty cutting comments at all, I think the pantomime villain type judge is a bit too predictable and audiences will appreciate a more rounded constructive criticism way of giving feedback.

Strangely enough I also didn't mind Christine Bleakley as much as I thought. I haven't warmed to her on any previous shows but this seems to suit her and she didn't do a bad job at all.

Well it's week 2 and I'm loving this panel now. It's so much better than last year's. I like it that they're being really constructive with their comments and there is a sense of positivity. I also think Katarina's improved this week.

I wish they had four people on the panel instead of three. Maybe they should have kept Jason on as an extra or someone else. Didn't even notice Emma was there most of the time. I like Christine also, but liked her before this show anyway.

Actually, I think it works a lot better with three judges. Maybe Stictly should take note.

New. These people all actually know what they are talking about.

The old panel (minus cousins) I've never really liked much, hence why I've not watched DOI religiously in the past. Once they had too many panelists and then also judges like Bunton and that other singer/actor judge that weren't good with their comment feedback. Much prefer a panel were only one judge is not an ex Olympic champ.

New one deffo....Jason's time was up and Emma wasn't doing much, just sitting there looking big (pregnant I know) Bring it on judges!!
