How come Andy is gone but Mark's still there?

Andy W was bad but it was clear that the Corrie fans would have kept him in there anyway regaardless of how good/bad he was but why is Mark still there when he was easily the worst?

What do people actually want to see, fast and exciting routines or bland and slow performances for the remainder of the series?

I have no idea - Mark was awful

Mark only got through for the HAHA factor, Heidi & Andy A shouldn't have been in bottom.

Who knows what the public vote for - look how many weeks Todd lasted

Blue Peter isn't as big as it used to be i guess. I found Andy much more entertaining though.

Mark must have finished at least third in the public vote to survive presuming Andy finished last. Really quite shocking!

There have been enough reality tv series to know that the worst rarely goes first

A bit of a pity though; in next week's show it's very likely he would have survived - there will be at least 3 duffers in Corey, Laila and probably Rosemary and it's unlikely all 3 would escape the skate-off.

But it isn't even funny to watch or is it just me

Some have already got their fan base who will vote whether they skate well or pants. I presume very few watch Blue Peter (I didn't even know it was still on the telly).

That was the series where Jessica and Zoe bounced along on 2% of the vote and Todd, Coleen and Donal hoovered up the votes. Skating or dancing ability has little to do with it. Indeed, there seems to be an automatic anarchist vote still for whoever the judges place last.

Andy was OK but I wasn't exactly thinking "Oooh I can't wait to see Andy next week". Mark though has great comedic value and I imagine those who voted were likely to think the same?

Probably because Mark is so popular and more well known.

I may have swung a few votes in Mark's direction

My friend's FB status from earlier may give you a clue -

"Bless... Mark on Dancing on Ice. He's so sweet - I love him already."

You're not alone. He gave it a try but watching Mark’s legs wobble like jelly on a plate as he lifted Frankie didn’t make me giggle at all.

Because Mark probably has a bigger fanbase and is better known - but also because people like to back an underdog and he came across well (e.g. enthusiastic and interesting personality). I would rather watch Mark skate again that Heidi - who was just dragged around by Andrei like a sack of spuds!

I like mark from his shows with sam, like tmi, copycats, and other cbbc things they have done, i assume theres others like me so they voted for him despite him not being the best. (although i dont vote on these shows so for me im just happy he stayed in )

I predicted it would be Heidi against Andy A pretty much as soon as I saw the scoreboard - the joke act always survives the opening couple week whether it be The X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing or Dancing On Ice.

Out of the remainder, Jorgie and Chemmy were out of reach at the top of the leaderboard while Mark had the sympathy vote; Charlene had the surprise vote (I don't think many people expected her to be that comfortable on the ice) coupled with possible nostalgia voting and Andy W had the soap fanbase to fall back on...which left Heidi, who was on first and whose routine wasn't exactly memorable, and Andy A, who isn't well known to many and most of the kids television votes went to Mark, to battle it out.

Mark was the worst and he knew he was the worst. He was shocked not to be in the bottom 2. However, he didn't beg for votes and he's still there because he's popular. A lot of people also like Frankie.

Tbh I was shocked when Phil said Mark got through. I'd have put money on him leaving first. His performance was sketchy at best and barely memorable. Why people would want to see him skate again is beyond me.
Saying that though, I didn't think any of them were brilliant but I suppose it is only show one. I'll reserve judgment on the others for another few weeks.

I felt sorry for Andy when he got voted off. He wasn't a bad skater and could have progressed well. Shame he won't get a chance to now.

I wonder whether he still has his fans from his Pop Idol days.

Yes it's very dangerous for Frankie as he could drop her/injure her seriously.

Mark is lovely though - that's why people vote.

Hmmmm Mark was the worst and probably did deserve 2 go but its no real shock that the worst has got thru surely?

Had someone like Chemmy or Jorgie gone id have understood people being a little peeved but even though he was better than Mark, Andy was hardly a must see. He was alright but not amazing
