Is Heidie's (lack of) support on Dancing On Ice an indication of Sugababes popularity?

Only she was in the bottom two tonight ...

the latest Sugababes line up arent wanted in the charts or on reality tv.

no not really her performance was average, she was on first which always affects things, she was placed lowly on the leader board an was never going to have loads of votes to begin with. im sure she will improve and gain more fans because she certainly has the potential

I think she suffered for three reasons, 1. She had to change partners half way through practicing and had to adapt a second time to his style etc, 2. She was on first, meaning she would be the most easily forgettable by the time voting opened, and finally 3. She just wasnt very good!

I was shocked that she was in the bottom two. I would have expected Sugababes core fan base would maybe be voting for her. I don't think anyone cares about them anymore. I think the original line up will come back and be successful...they can write songs and they know what they're doing, whereas the current line up just seem very cheap.

I would have thought with a strong fanbase - no matter how poor her performance or being given the (supposed) 'death slot' - would have made her safe on week one.

The sympathy of changing partners would have strengthened her support surely. But was not to be.

She wasn't very good, even if she had to change partners.

Probably. Apart from a small few die-hard fans, no-one cares about the Sugababes any more, and unsurprisingly so.

But I suspect the judges saved her partly because she's seen as a 'big name' compared to most of the show's other contestants.

i feel sorry for her a bit, she seems a thoroughly nice girl and she wasn't the worst on the night. however, she was the worst out of the bottom two, so she should have gone. although, one thing is for sure, it is more of a popularity contest. so on that basis, it is possible people will warm to her sunny disposition.

Heidi is really likeable. I was so pleased she got saved tonight.

In fairness Heidi has been with the Sugababes a LONG time. She is the nearest thing to an original member as she is that long there. In fact she has remained with the Sugababes longer than any other member of the six (no need to post stuff on people being forced out and they would be there longer - I get that). Thats a lot of her life devoted to the group. I hope she finds her feet on DOI as seems a lovely girl.

I think she will go out soon, sadly. I love her, and I know she will get better, you could see the improvement in her routine and that she had taken the judges comments on board, but how can she realistically compete with Chemmy and that one of Hollyoaks. She may not have been in the bottom 2 with the public or the judges, but still ended up there due to people voting for crap acts.

I do hope she stays in, but I doubt this appearance will do much to boost the Sugababes....sadly

Probably. I think their original fans outgrew them or gradually stopped supporting them as certain members left and they haven't had any luck gaining any new fans since then.

I think the Sugababes fans are far more excited about the original lineup reforming and recording songs in the studio than Heidi skating in DOI.
