Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good tooth-whitening paste?

Thank you!

Arm and Hammer Advanced Whitening.

Recommended to me by my dentist who said there has been a recent dental study done on it and it was very good and did actually work. But he stated only the Advanced Whitening one, not any of their other range.

Funnily enough, that's the one I was going to recommend too. I find it brilliant - it really removes stains, it tastes really good, I love the baking soda texture (it makes my teeth feel really clean) and it's cheap too. It's often 'buy one get one free' in Superdrug

I'll give it a whirl, thanks all. Does it not taste a bit 'earthy' like some baking soda toothpaste does?

I have a question about Arm & Hammer - Is it a whitener to be used after toothpaste, or is it just used as toothpaste?

I had an excellent toothpaste when I was living abroad but I can't find it in UK. It's Crest Pro-Health Cinnamon (you really can't taste the cinnamon). The best one I've tried (and I've tried the Arm&Hammer one).
But right now I'm using Colgate Whitening 2 in 1 (toothpaste and mouthwash) and I'm really pleased so far.

I've not tried other baking soda toothpastes, but it does have a different texture from other toothpastes. I prefer the baking soda texture, but I know some people (including my husband) don't. The taste I would say is actually more fresh and minty than other toothpastes, but that is probably subjective

It's just an all-round toothpaste. It feels like it does a great job of cleaning as well as whitening.

If you get a scale and polish with a hygienist before starting to use the toothpaste you will get better results which last longer.

I have also been and bought - At Superdrug, though!

Thanks for the recommendation!

Bought Arm and Hammer toothpaste (advanced whitening) in 99p shop - it was £3 in Wilkinsons.
