2012 for Pixie Lott?
Following the disaster that has been 'Young Foolish Happy', what can Pixie Lott and her team do this year to recover?

There isn't much else for her on the album. The album isn't bad to be fair, it just isn't commerical enough, or special enough. She's talented, but I dont know if she knows what genre she's doing. Take her recent album, fifteen soul/motown type songsd with three pop club bangers tacked on for commercial purposes. It's annoying.

I think she needs to take some time off and find herself as an artist, then get back in the studio and work on a big comeback for album 3! Don't think there's really much point her trying to salvage the wreckage of YFH, which in fairness is an ok album, but that's the problem, it's just ok! Turn It Up was rather brilliant! I hope she can return to her best as I think there is real potential!!!

What is unique about Pixie Lott? This is the question her label need to find out and work on for album 3.

Her next single, Kiss the Stars, is set to enter the top 40 this week, so it's not a bad start to the year. She's also got a song with Tinchy Stryder coming up soon, which I also think should go top 40. |

Haven't listened to the album... haven't really been that taken by the last 2 singles... but hearing 'Kiss the Stars' quite alot on radio... and i quite like it... think it will be a decent hit... not saying it can turn the album around completely, but may stabilize the album for a while... wont be a terrible campaign if she can get some stable long (ish) term sales

She's so bland to me. Her debut album had tons of filler (I buy ALOT of albums and this by far had the most filler) and i've no interest at all in purchasing another album from her.
Her label keep trying to make her out to be some credible, jazzy vocalist but she's not. She has a "unique" tone, I guess, but her songs are absolutely terrible. One minute she's all retro and classy then she has a club banger, and her image is horrible these days. She's just so average. |

She needs to stop going down the "urban" route, seems to be getting her nowhere.

What Do You Take Me For?, Bright Lights and Gravity are some of my favourite songs from her.

I think she needs to find who she is. I love the album, great mixture of urban soul which is quite unique atm. There's loads of filler though...
I think she should go through with Kiss the stars and release a third album next year

I hope she goes down it. Even if it gets her less commercial succes, I prefer the music.

I think 'Young Foolish Happy' is a much better album than 'Turn It Up', personally. Some really great songs on it. But I think she's releasing the wrong songs from it as singles. All About Tonight is quite catchy and fun but I think Kiss The Stars is such a weak song (as well as being a total rip off of Sugababes' Push The Button and Katy Perry's Teenage Dream!) and I wish she'd release far better songs from her album as singles, like Nobody Does It Better, Stevie On The Radio, We Just Go On, Till The Sun Comes Out and Black As Rain.
Oh yes, and I wish she'd stop with the boring guest rappers that make every song sound like a million other generic rap/RnB songs!! Soooooo tired of that and she doesn't need to go down that route, surely, and end up sounding like everyone else!! The rapping ruins What Do You Take Me For for me, although I don't think it's that brilliant a song anyway. One of her weakest singles, imo. I think Pixie has a really unique sound and vocal style, though, and is very talented. I look forward to what she does in the future.
