So much better without Jason
Does anyone agree that there is a much lighter, nicer, more relaxed feel to the series overall without Jason Gardiner there? I don't think these panels need a nasty judge at all. I'm really glad ITV saw some sense and got rid of the horrible little man. He took it too far.

Absolutely agree. So nice to have some who knows what he's talking about, can express it in language everyone can understand, criticises constructively, but praises as well. So much better than having some ego using nasty personal remarks to slag off people who have never danced before, let alone on ice.

Im not bothered either way, but the Audience started sqealling and catawalling before he even opened hes gob, which was very annoying as you couldnt hear what he was saying, just like in X Factor so stopped watching 2 series ago.

Louie didn't really say anything boo-worthy on Sunday, so I suspect that reaction is engineered. Like you, I find it annoying. ![]() And yes OP, I'm not missing Jason a bit either - it's so much better without him. |

I wouldn't be surprised if they're told to do that by the producers before the show starts, as we were told to boo Jason on the Dancing On Ice tours by the warm-up guy.

glad Jason has gone, he became too big for his boots and Louie is a worthy replacement who has restored a lighter atmosphere to the show

Am I the only one who feels sorry for Jason? I am quite sure he was encouraged to be downright awful by the producers of Dancing on Ice!! He make so many over the top comments I cannot believe that Jason would have behaved like that without their approval. He made Dancing on Ice a talking point on all the TV shows last year. Why, if they were so disturbed by his behaviour, did he get a spot on This Morning doing fashion last year? Obviously, the powers that be were happy with him! Now he is out in the cold!!! I am sure all his comments were scripted, including his so-called fight with Karen etc.

He brought his sacking on himself because of his own behaviour. Not everything on a live show can be fully scripted, especially something like DOI where the judges comments have to elect what happens during the routines. Jason's nasty remarks went too far once too often. What he said to two of this country's greatest sports women, and his spat with Karen made him too much of a liability.for ITV |

He's not on This Morning either now. |

jason went to far with his opinions on celebs and it's much better without him. silly man - a slot on a prime time tv show and he blew it. how could any grown man think speaking to people the way he did would not result in him eventually being removed from the show
![]() i dont like louis spence but to be fair he's been spot on with his critique so to me he's been a good replacement. |

Really, it was his row with Karen that cost him his job. For years he got away with nasty comments, but once he crossed her, that was it, he had to go. Nicky also paid the price for being on the wrong side of Chris's girlfriend.

Phew ! you're telling me, it means I can watch the show again. I just couldn't bring myself to watch that other horrible excuse for a judge. There is just no need to be as downright nasty as he was. Look at CRH on Strictly, he can be very ascerbic but he's never nasty, in fact he's the one all the contestants want to impress. I think the programme makers have got it right with Louis Spence. |
