Just catching up on last night's XF. Andrea's 'O Holy Night' reminded me to look on YouTube for Joe's performance of it at the O2 from a couple of years ago. It gave me goosebumps hearing it live and still does, even on a recording.
Very grateful to Hayley for recording it when she did

Ah thanks for this Michelle! Such memories of that magnificent voice echoing around the packed 02 singing my favourite Christmas songs with the fabulous orchestra. Do you remember that lady and her children we were talking to in the interval. She'd never heard Joe sing live before and was completely overwhelmed. She was going to get his albums and book for his next solo show.

Although I am not a huge fan of Panto, Joe's role as Man in the Mirror has been fantastically received by the critics.

What is there not to like about Joe? He’s young, cute, talented and, as far as I’m concerned, vastly under-rated as a performer. A panto isn’t the best vehicle for those talents but it just goes to show how supremely confident and at ease he is no matter what job he undertakes
The X Factor golden boy Joe McElderry is a sensational singing talent as the Spirit of the Mirror.
Joe McElderry lit up the stage as the Spirit of the Mirror, with a voice like velvet,
X Factor star Joe McElderry charms as the Man in the Mirror.
The other celebrity billing, Joe McElderry, is incredibly well received. It’s clear to hear and see why he triumphed on The X Factor and subsequent reality shows with his superb voice and very likable demeanour.
Another surprise is Joe McElderry, giving a very strong performance in the acting field, and his timing in the brilliantly choreographed number, The Twelve Days of Christmas, is superb. He strutts about the stage as the Spirit of the Mirror, and is a perfect foil for Pearce, not being afraid to lose control and laugh at the jokes himself. He was great, and not just a pretty face and a nice voice

Whilst I may agree that Panto may not be the best vehicle for his talents, Joe said last year it was like going in to work and just laughing all day - the best kind of job I'd imagine it is quite lucrative too, which is always a bonus. However, these quotes certainly give lie to the oft repeated cliche on the MF that Joe has no personality

His 2014 tour was fabulous, whether they were concerts with his full band or his acoustic shows, so can't wait to see the new Evolution shows. He's a great live performer!

Hi Tombo - would definitely recommend it if you can get to a show on his Evolution Tour - he not only has a great voice but a wonderful sense of humour and his shows are always great fun

Happy New Year everyone!

Excited to see Queen & Adam Lambert on 20th and Joe & Billy in their last weekend of panto at the Alhambra on 24th/25th! Brilliant start to the year!

Joe has announced that he will be reprising the role of Tommy in the rock opera of the same name during September this year. It might be the start of a UK tour. It will take place at the Opera House in Blackpool and tickets are available now.

Thanks Patti-Ann his acting skills came on a treat during the course of the panto run & he has great comedic timing as well as a stunning voice.
Totally enjoyed the shows I saw & Joe got choked up bless him at the end of the final show. He seemed to have formed a close bond with the rest of the cast & they clearly adored him. Billy's words about Joe were so lovely too - said something along the lines of having done panto for the past 16 years, this had been his best yet, all thanks to Joe

So thrilled for him & excited that he's landed this role He was brilliant in the 1-night-only show in the West End a couple of years ago so I can't wait to see how he'll be now he's matured & had a bit more acting experience. Plus it's a beautiful 3000-seater theatre by all accounts & this 2-week run will be during the busiest illuminations time

& it's in Lancashire LancashireLass!

So happy for Joe. He was absolutely amazing on the one off show in London in 2012 and I am glad that they asked him back for the lead role! It might be good timing that his big tour is this year if Tommy goes ahead and tours the UK later in the year or next year. Hopefully Joe will tour with it (if that's what he wishes of course).

I think I might be going once or twice too ...

Can't wait to see if there are any lovely posters of that shot in the merchandise this year!!

This interview is lovely. It's nice when people can appreciate their family and the influence they had on who they are and what they do

Wondering what kind of shape we'll be in after watching Tommy in Blackpool the night before the Great North Run, fellow GNR runner well, it's only 154 miles away
