Thanks for all the vids
You're welcome Very grateful to the lovely fans who shared their vids and photos of the initial summer shows of the Northern Light Tour. Once he's had a holiday in September, the tour then continues through October and November. This is such a great show, such a versatile artist and wonderful rapport with his audiences. Can't wait to see it again! Tour dates here:-

I was so thrilled to see that Joe has been asked to play Joseph again in 2017 but not surprised after the brilliant reviews he got for this years tour! So the party starts again ! Joseph tour dates here :-

so, it was finally wednesday the 5th of october! I was excited for 2 reasons. 1. Allan was coming down to stay with me for a week, and 2. we were seeing Joe together that night, and it was to be Allan's 1st ever live concert!
This for him is a huge thing, as he has epilepsy, and so has not been to a live show like that before. Because he is totally blind, his fits are not triggered by bright lights, they are triggered by loud noise, so I was slightly worried that if we were sat near the front, which we were as we were VIP, I was worried that this would set off his epilepsy.
So, all was going well that morning, until I decided to go downstairs and do some laundry. So, I was walking down the stairs, laundry bag in 1 hand, the other trailing the rail, and then I felt a sharp sting in my finger next to my thumb on my left hand! I cried out, it really hurt! One of the support staff came up and saw that there was a dead wasp on the floor. Apparently there are loads of them around, and they are all balancing on the handrails of the stairwells up to the flats! So I had to get my hand seen too and the staff were lovely and washed my laundry for me.
By the time my hand was sorted, Allan and his mum arrived. We spent several hours chatting and listening to Joe to get us in the mood and then mum and dad picked us up and took us back to their house where we had mcdonalds.
They only live about half an hour away from Hayes, so we decided to leave Brodie at home.
We arrived at the venue and as we were walking up to the doors, I heard a geordie voice calling my name. it took me a few seconds to recognise it, and then I realised, it was Eileen, Joe's mum!
Mum and dad found it helarious that i'd been recognised by Joe's mum! Mum sat me and Allan down on some seats and went over to tell the staff that we needed looking after, but Eileen stopped her and told mum that she would look after us and would take us up to VIP a few minutes before, to avoid the crowds.
Allan was loving it, he was so excited!
It seemed to take ages, but eventually Eileen came over and took us into the theatre. One thing I noticed was it was quite cold inside. She sat us down and we got talking to a few people and we checked with the staff where we were sitting. They said that there was a speaker in front of us, so I asked Allan if he would be ok, or if he wanted to sit a few rows back just to be safe. He said he'd give it a go and see how he got on. His mum had been prepared, she bought him a set of earplugs so if it did get too loud, he could put them in to prevent anything from happening.
Eileen asked where Brodie was and asked if I can manage without him. she also wants me to send her some links to my uber interviews. I'm guessing the best way to do that would be to dm David on CelebAgents?
One thing i've noticed at the last 2 Joe shows, if I have Brodie with me, I get a lot more people coming over to me and saying hello, but when I saw Joe in south shields in august with my friend chelsea, and when I saw him at hayes, because Brodie was at home, it seemed like hardly anyone knew who I was.
Eileen gave us a diary, which even though neither of us can use, it's a nice thing to keep that has been signed by Joe.
He came out and made his way round the group. He came over and said hello, and said that he didn't think he had met Allan before. Allan said hello and explained how it was his first ever live concert, and Joe said that he was sure that Allan would enjoy it. When Allan mentioned about his epilepsy Joe was very concerned and made sure that the lights wouldn't affect him. Then Joe signed our diaries and he said how he liked the spelling of Allan's name because it was different.
We then got a group picture together and I said to Allan to get an individual one as I have loads with Joe, and it'd be nice for him.
Allan was so happy that he'd got to meet Joe!
Afterwards, the stuards took us to our seats. we were front row, and we had a speaker about a metre away in front of us!
We couldn't wait for the show to start!

I'd previously said on the forum that I wasn't going to record the show, but I bought my dictaphone and did manage to record the whole thing, and i'm so glad I did, because the sound quality is absolutely stunning!
The first song was feeling good. I think this is a great opening choice for Joe, as it really shows off his voice. I was a bit worried about how Allan would be with the noise, but he was loving it! After feeling good, was skyscraper. This made me feel quite emotional, and I almost, had a bit of a cry. Even Allan got a bit choked up, and that's quite rare for him. It felt so special, to be at a show, seeing my favourite singer live, with my favourite person in the world! Just seeing allan's reactions, made me feel so emotional!
I noticed that in south shields, Joe didn't sing skyscraper, he just went into Sorry seems to be the hardest word, and then a longer version of Don't let the sun, however at hayes, he sang a shorter version.
I think another reason why I felt so emotional as well, was because when I saw Joe in south shields, he was great, but at this show, he was on top form!
Every time I think to myself, hmmm, do I still like Joe as much, and then I see him live, I just think to myself, how can I ever not like that voice? He just gets better and better every time!
I won't go through every single song, but the emotions Joe made me feel that night, just wow! I loved silence is the loudest cry, More than words was just beautiful and Close every door was spine tingling!
I loved Joe's little chatty bits inbetween as well, they were so much fun!
One of mine and Allan's favourite moments was I can't help falling In Love With You! This was just beautiful!
In the interval, the stuards came over and checked on us. Allan was doing great, he hadn't had to use his earplugs once, he'd not had one dizzy spell at all. When I asked him how he found the noise, he said, it's kinda like being at a disco really. He was so happy! I warned him that the 2nd half would be louder as it was more uptempo, but he insisted he was fine and didn't need to switch to a few rows back.
We loved Joe's little medley of if you love me, fahrenheit, someone wake me up! You can really hear me singing on the recording!
Jukebox Joe was brilliant! 2 of my highlights were when Joe sang the bob marley, is this love, that was really funny! and when he sang I will always Love you. watching him and the band trying to pick the right key for the song, was helarious!
After this, we had any dream will do, and this was lovely too! Then we had the new track, dance until the sun! I'd completely forgot about this one, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambitions was brilliant, I liked it how it sounded a little different! Then it was hollywood! I was determined to get Allan up and dancing!
In the 6 years that I have known him, i've never succeeded, until tonight! It took a few attempts, but eventually he was up and dancing! It was great! He says he hates dancing because in front of people he knows, he feels very self conscious, but as I can't see, and everyone else in the room didn't know him, he didn't mind.
It was funny, when Joe was splitting the room in half and getting us to repeat after him, Allan was like, Blimey, this must be what Wembley is like!
Up next was a bit of the climb, and simply the best! I absolutely loved simply the best, it's amazing, especially when Joe sings it! I didn't want the show to end! Allan said his ears were ringing, but in a good way. he's not used to being around that level of noise, for that length of time, but he was absolutely fine which means we can go to more shows together! Dad came to collect us and we went out and found mum with Brodie. They'd gone home and collected him while we were watching the show. Mum said she'd been talking to one of the staff and they said the venue was only a quarter full which was a shame. It sounded packed! Mum also said that Joe's mum was wearing about 3 sets of glasses! she had i think 2 pairs of sunglasses and a pair of reading glasses on her head!
I found it helarious though that mum and dad thought Joe is irish! They were like, he must be though, the numberplate on his campervan is irish! Apparently there were loads of people round it as we were leaving.
What a fantastic night though, and i'm so glad allan enjoyed it! Unfortunately he can't come to Wimbledon Joseph with me as his parents are getting married that week, but we definitely want to do a future show together!

Been busy the last few weeks seeing this brilliant tour. Great loud packed audiences loving every minute and dancing in the aisles Joe and his band going from strength to strength and such versatility. Huge show stopping songs, quiet moving ballads, hilarious chat with the audiences. So many people who have never seen or heard him live being amazed and immediately booking for more shows! I believe he's booked solid with work already for next year and it's not surprising he's in such demand. Very very impressive entertainer!

Still buzzing from last night's show at St Helens! Absolutely brilliant - all as you described it LL2 and also as per the following reviewer's experience:

http://northwestend.co.uk/index.php/...oyal-st-helens

McElderry has incredible vocal ability and coupled with his charisma you feel that you are at a party with your best mates, one that you simply don't want to end.

Nope - don't want the tour to end, having way too much fun!!

No gimmicks needed with Joe - his talent, personality, humour and audience connection (as well as wonderful rapport with his band) makes for a perfect night's entertainment. And he gets better every tour

Next stop the wonderfully art deco Stockport Plaza theatre (one of my favourite theatres) on Thursday ... cannot wait!
