Joe is on with Alan Titchmarsh on Wednesday. I hope sales hold steady the same as Classic.

Yay!! So proud of him and he's in very good company in the top 10 too! 3rd top 10 album and all 4 have been top 15!

He's had a pretty good day with his impressive 1:36 GNR PB AND his new album entering the top 40 at #8!

Still can't decide on my favourite song(s) on HWIB - love most of the tracks, so my favourites keep changing - and I like the rest of the tracks enough not to want to skip any.

Can't wait to hear them at the album launch shows next week

Thanks for all the links posted by the way - I'm struggling to catch up with all the Joe stuff at the moment, which is no bad thing

Well done to Joe on #8 - great achievement in having 3 albums entering the charts in the top 10 (and Classic Christmas had 1st week sales that would have entered the top 10 most weeks this year )

Very happy for Joe - both on the album and that great GNR time!

I know I have a vested interest but would love to see the label promoting him outside the U.K now.

A very impressive time - well done Joe.

I voted for Rescue Us as my current favourite, although I have 4 others that were very close. I don't understand why it, and Silence Is ..., were not on the standard album.

Several tracks from the album that we have not heard live will be awesome when Joe does his usual magic for a live performance.

“Also new in the album listings was English singer-songwriter Joe McElderry, who won the X Factor contest in 2009, with "Here's What I Believe" at number eight.”

I would have loved it to have charted higher but there was a lot of strong releases this week, looking at some of the albums he did beat makes it better too.

Another thing, this poll is aincent now but if you haven't voted yet.

First time I've seen Joe called a singer-songwriter in the press.

Well done Joe another top 10 album.
He released at a very competitive time and did great.

“2009 X Factor winner Joe McElderry racks up his fourth album in less than two years, debuting at number eight (10,677 sales) with Here's What I Believe. The 21 year old Geordie is the first X Factor graduate to place four albums in the Top 20, having previously charted with Wide Awake (number three, 2010, 103,226 sales), Classic (number two, 2011, 245,320 sales) and Classic Christmas (number 15, 2011, 115,180 sales)”

I thought he'd sell more in first week but given how bad album sales are lately I'd take anything. Hopefully the promo continues and Joe has solid sales.

This is what I am hoping for too! Gawd it's a tough market at the moment.

I have to admit I expected a lot higher sales as well. I think though that quite a lot who bought the classical albums might have bought them for those reasons alone though and might not be pop fans.

There was also a lack of television appearances last week. All I can remember is Breakfast. They need to get Joe on more primetime shows like Alan Carr:Chatty Man as Im sure many people still have no clue a new album is out.

He was scheduled to be on Sunrise but it was cancelled because of "breaking news" (Harry in Camp Bastion). He is on The AT Show on Wednesday and The Wright Stuff on Thursday.

I had hoped Joe's sales figures would have been higher but I think in part if reflects the current albums market. Those sales in August would have given him a Number 1 album

He was just 14 sales behind the Number 7 album and more of the TV promo is lined up for this - the original release week - than last week, so hopefully that will help him to keep selling

Hopefully he'll get some sales from people who follow the charts and notice he has a new album out.

The market does seem tough but I can't get too disappointed about the sales when some albums have reached no.1 in recent months with similar figures.

Someone should send this article to Steve Brookstein - he might learn something

No doubt he'll be having a rant again this year
