You can see from the vids how packed it was. I bet the atmosphere was fabulous.

Are we at Sheftival next?

The first weekend in August was a brilliant weekend for me - back to back Joe gigs in Yorkshire Sheftival on the Saturday and Leeds Pride on the Sunday

I remember this place. It was a event spread out over a huge area and I think we walked it from end to end didn't we YL trying to find the others. It was very hot as well wasn't it YL. And policemen don't always know the way.

I wasn't going to either of these ..... I WASN'T but at 11.30am on the Saturday morning I was sulking .... by 12 noon I was in the car on my way up the M1
YL text me to ask me if I coud do something, and I had just parked the car at Meadow Hall .... I text back saying 'I would ... but I seem to be in Sheffield' to which I got the response of 'Eh?'

We were sat in a taxi on the way to somewhere vaguely near Sheftival We walked for blumming miles once the driver actually dropped us off, didn't we?

But it was worth it when we got there

Yes it sure was. and I remember there was an absolutely huge queue to meet Joe at the end as well.

5 minutes walk is not miles

But you're not taking into account the fact that several different policemen sent us in several different directions so we covered the same ground about 10 times

So then we moved on to Leeds Pride. This was in the town centre and the stage was set up in front of the art gallery. We were lucky enough to get a good chat with Joe before the show and then settled ourselves down on the handy set of steps outside the gallery. It was a lovely sunny day and everyone was looking great all ready for the procession after the show. So we sat in the boiling sunshine. Then a big black cloud came over and the biggest deluge you've ever seen came down with a howling gale and enormous hailstones. One of my favourite memories of this will be of YL refusing to move from her spot on the steps because it was a dry bit, with a river basically running down the steps all round her.

But within 5 minutes of Joe starting his set, the rain turned off like a tap and the sun came out again.
