I hope it isnt to early ? is it?

Seriously
I just thought traffic is much lighter on here now

I thought it would be fun to see if this drew people out of the woodwork

i HAD A theroy that the majority of normal posters are not posting because a lot of the ones that are -seem to follow
the X Files Heros etc

just to raise a smile I thought it might amuse some if a thread was started with no axe to grind that didnt want to change the result and is looking forward to a brand new show

BE HAPPY

I wondered if someone would do this!

We'd probably better keep all the refreshments in the freezer for the time being!

I'm smiling, but it's a little late surely? Should have been Dec 20th or something...?

Wondering if the people who complain will be here. They say they're the 'real' purists which is why they don't like the food and drink things, but don't seem to surface much outside the spoiler thread on the night:yawn:

Didn't know where to post this, so thought here is as good a place as any as it is a spoiler sort of

As stated on a thread somewhere out there, I get to see the voting figures (for my job).

Harry had it in the bag from week 1, he topped the vote every single week (only Jill in Series 2 did that). At the beginning of the series Jason, Russell, Robbie, Alex and Anita also faired very well, as the series progressed Chelsea gained votes, Jason lost them and Holly stayed pretty much in the middle.

Harry won the final after the first show with well over 50%, (much like Kara in 2010), although Chelsea picked up just over half of Jason's vote in the second show. It was a landslide though and the judges couldn't have changed the result even if they wanted to .

Mathematically this is impossible.

That's what I thought.

And I don't think Holly could have been have been in the middle all the way through as she had to be close to the bottom vote-wise to end up in the bottom 2 from mid-table.

Do you mean the BIB? Was she ever bottom two? I did ot watch that series so I don't know. That is the only way I can think it was mathematically impossible.

The expression "pretty much" would indicate to me that was middle of the votes with the exception of the weeks that she was bottom two. the other data seems very general and vague enough to mean a lot of numbers.

Or is is it the bit of Harry to win the final in the first show?

Short Answer : Jill didn't top the vote in the week of the semi-finals. Julian did.

Long Answer : The semi finals of the second series are one of the few times we can work out the order of the vote just from the bottom 2 and who was eliminated. The Judges Table after the semis was like this :

Denise : 4 points
Jill : 3 points
Aled : 2 points
Julian : 1 point

Denise and Aled were then in the bottom 2, with Aled leaving. The only way that Denise can be in the bottom 2 and Julian not, is if he topped the public vote and she was bottom (Denise : 4+1 = 5, Julian = 1+4 = 5, Julian winning on greater public vote). From there, you can work out that Aled must have been below Jill, because he went home from only one place below her in the Judges Table. Therefore the public vote is proven to be :

Julian : 4 points
Jill : 3 points
Aled : 2 points
Denise : 1 point.

Bottom-line being that Jill definitely did not top the public vote in every week of Series 2. And that's just the week we know about.

In Wembley week Holly's quickstep (wearing green opposite Artem in blue, with bouffant hairdo) scored 5th from the top and 4th from the bottom. It only required any two from Russell, Anita and Robbie to leap over Holly to put her in second-bottom.

BBC employees post at a risk to their jobs, with reader responses and actions not guaranteed. Remember how we lost Alisonrose's kind help?

The info so kindly supplied said Holly "pretty much" stayed in the middle, it did not categorically say "every week" as in the case for Harry. Holly could have been numerically near the midpoint of the phone votes range from top to bottom, but rankwise she could have slid to 7th of 8, by a small number of votes. The clip shows a very subdued audience reaction during her quickstep. Those who were there could comment.

To be honest I never saw the voting figures for series 2 (only the last 3 years) and assumed Jill was up there as I was told this was the first time since series 2 that they had a stand out winner from week one.

Holly was somewhere in the middle most weeks until Wembley week, she didn't pick up many votes after that, obviously as soon as the terrible dancers left she came lower and lower. Jason also came lower than 3rd a few times too.

bib this bit troubles me a little
dont think we should be saying direct bbc employees because they might not be and if there is a search for whistleblower the wider the term we all use the harder to find

offering myself as honest broker (if I may)

Monkseal is a poster I respect and has plenty of knowledge would it be better if getting to bottom of what is possible and what isnt by PM and post conclusion in fairness to supplier of new info?

not wishing to upset anyone just an idea

I was going to post this in the other thread but was afraid of response of OP. I think the reason is because the judges are really lizards. There is a reptile population as told by David Ike. Harry is a lizard and they wanted one of their own to win. The lizards used their mind powers to get the public to vote for Harry. Thats the real truth..

Ah the Lizzard loop hole

well that might work if we are sure the poster in question isnt a Lizzard

The jury is out I believe
it has been said the poster seems to frequently stick tounge out throughout that thread

That's interesting about the voting ( and kudos for the sharp pickup and correction Monkseal).

The tour hasn't often reflected the same voting as SCD so it will be interesting to see what happens this year.
