JLS - girls/love.
Mariah carey - love (I think she's incredible though!)

Rihanna...SEX and/or love.....

I seriously think she needs to stop singing about the former now....I don't think she can go through a single without slipping at least one obvious reference to sex in the lyrics.

Mariah and Celine both seem to sing about love all the time (though they're both great)

I really like Rihanna, but I thought the same whilst listening to her new album the other day.

I'd like less of that on the next album.

I really really like her too, but I think all the sex stuff is getting too much now. I was watching some of her pre-Umbrella stuff and she seemed like a different girl.

Adele sings the same depressing rubbish, lets face it she's never had a boyfriend and she's bitter.
Another one is Bieber, he sings about love even though he's like 13 years old.

Thinking of Britneys recent back catalogue, the only songs I can think of that aren't about sex are Circus and Til The World Ends.

I think Kelly Clarkson has had a few break ups in her day too, either that or one really really shit one lol

Taylor Swift - Love meeeeeeeee, please please love meeee because I'm so desperate that I write repetitive country ballads about how we're made for each other.

I agree. I liked Love Story but all her other songs are very samey and repetitive  All she sings really is desperate love pleas (or am I wrong?)

Be fair, chaps. Love is a very common emotion so it is to be expected.

Although very few songs aren't about love.

But it can be overdone. It can also be hard to tell if its genuine depending on the performer. It can be like Love overload. It can be interestingly done: Love Lockdown - Kanye West or boring - JLS - do you feel what I feel?

No problem with love but keep it to the former. Interestingly done.

best coast, they're not so well known i guess but just about every song on their album includes the word 'crazy' and is about missing someone...
pretty cool album but yeah, maybe a bit more variety next time with the song writing
