because gaga really copies her too much and it was very noticable in her last album gaga released. a quarter of her fanbase didn't agree with the move gaga made in her last album.

she's gonna be interview on abc's 20/20 and abc will ask how she deeply feels about lady gaga:
http://idolator.com/6136001/madonna-...news-interview

thats a sneak peak. she seemed silent about the question. i think she said look it up. the real answer will either come thursday in another sneak peak on abc's nightline or the full-on interview on abc's 20/20

ilovezenyatta, you really are becoming my guilty pleasure. however, i will be looking forward to you posting the full interview. apparently, according to the daily fail, they are related.

I think the main thing that would both Madonna is simply that Lady Gaga gets talked about so much. She probably wants to talk about something else in interviews for a change now lol.

"Madonna said to me she saw her with [her daughter] Lola, and she said, 'You should see her in concert, Ro. She's pretty amazing.' And I was like, 'Really?' And then I heard her on Howard Stern and I was totally impressed by her in every way... a force to be reckoned with."

"We had a party in New York a couple of weeks ago for manger - it was his birthday - and Lady Gaga was there, and the DJ basically did a sort of...we did a dance off, so he would play one of her songs, and he'd play one of mine. We both danced together in the middle, and all of my dancers were around us and we took turns dancing to - I would dance to her songs and sing all the words, and she would sing for me. It was really fun."
I'm sure she said in an interview that she "[saw] a lot of herself in her" too, but I can't find it.

As Madonna says herself in that ABC preview, "look it up!"

What she thinks of Gaga in a post-BTW world remains to be seen, but you have to remember that Madonna has been there and done that in more ways than one. If anyone were to appreciate someone taking heavy inspiration from their idols and facing the odd plagiarism allegation, it would be her.

I wouldn't be surprised if she threw some shade in the upcoming interview, but I doubt she'll trash her.

Even if Madonna doesn't actually like Lady Gaga she's not exactly going to come out and say that. I doubt she's going to sit there and say "the bitch needs to get her own ideas and stop
lifting mine." She'll probably have nothing but praise at what she's achieved and great advice for her for the future. If fans and non-fans are expecting Madonna to thrown shade then they're going to be disappointed because Madonna has never publicly slagged another artist off, at least as far as I'm aware. However, I do think that Madonna is probably more of a fan of Rihanna and has more interest in what she's doing in her career and with her music than what Lady Gaga is.

I just saw the little advert for the ABC interview and I don't know whether the bit where Madonna says 'look it up' and sips tea is necessarily in relation to the lady gaga question - it could just be edited to look that way. I guess we'll find out when the interview airs!

She's probably bored by the whole Gaga comparison. I know I am.

It's a bit disrespectful to ask questions about another artist, especially a younger singer occupying the same or a similar audience. Isn't it? I mean Madonna is thinking "Is this about me, aren't I interesting enough?"

Madonna will be tongue in cheek and honest about it.

What she interprets...or rather what I personally interpret from it is..."look it up" as in look at EVERYthing said around the internet and media etc from the "I see myelf in her" to the YT videos attending concerts to the "Lady who?" it paints a colourful picture....so in other words....why talk about others when you can talk about me?

It happens all the time though when people interview big acts....how do you feel about "contemporary A" how do you feel about "New Artist B" its just a standard and its dull!

FOr a Madonna interview i just wanna know about what Madonna is doing, but this will be fun! Thursday and Friday interviews back to back!

It's a shame that it probably won't make a difference whether Madonna explicitly says she likes and/or respects Gaga, people will still drag it up at every opportunity and use the similarity to bash the latter. The fact that she's already done so and it's gone ignored I guess is a testament to that.

Kind of funny though, detractors getting so pissed off about something on behalf of someone who clearly doesn't give a shit.

she said this:

"When I first saw her I was really impressed by her and she was cool. She did remind me of me back in the day," she said.

"I do think she is very talented."

It used to be common for pop girls to shade each other in interviews a few years ago (see: Nelly Furtado, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera, Fergie, etc.). Nobody really does it anymore, but it doesn't cause as much uproar as you'd think...

Gaga might have reference some of Madonna's work but it is undeniable that both of them are extremely talented
