I think the chap who devises University Challenge questions should have been asked questions that were so long and convoluted that he lost the original gist by the end.

Plus the ridiculous ginger blow-wave. We took an instant dislike to him.

What makes Kevin, Pat and Barry watchable is a relative humbleness. Whereas blokey last night came across as simply being a big-head.

BTW, what's the betting on anyone ever choosing Judith as their backroom boffin.

The eggheads chosen in the episodes so far are in line with my own preferences:
1 Kevin
2 Pat
3 Barry
4 It's basically all the same after that.
I think we'll have to get used to Ian, can't see him being beaten

Although he got a good total ,the guy last night reminded me of those aliens with big foreheads in the first episodes of star trek and he was droning on to the point of sheer boredom
The other guy said he was a Uni challenge question setter, I think not, he was probably one of the poorest so far
Still prefer the guy on day one, he was more an egghead to me

I see he's quizzed on the same team as both Kevin and Pat before.

Ian was pretty impressive I thought last night - will take quite a bit of beating.

Two not so good people on Friday and the winner was arrogant not picking Kevin.

Looking likely Ian will be a new egghead then.

Let's imagine his face in the opening titles right now then. Hmm, how was it?

He's a interesting fella, very much like CJ. I wonder if some of the Eggheads picked up on the similaritys.

Fairly early days; still seven men's heats to come...

I think he's known to most of them already (as are a lot of the MMAE peeps).

Yeah, they seemed a lot weaker than any of the current lot. I think he felt pressurised into picking Kevin. Mind you, Kevin so far in this format has been like a prolific striker going through a barren spell.

The questions are far more difficult than in normal shows.

Unless that Olav Bjortomt fellow gives this show another go, I can't see Mr. Bayley being toppled.

It's kind of funny in a way seeing Kevin always get picked, but I don't think he's known any of the answers to the questions he's been asked. Of courss he only gets asked 1, but for someone who usually gets most answers right anyway, it's odd.

Though apparently he works on The Chase at the moment as head writer.

Well with Judith being chosen the other day, I'm fully expecting Lisa to go through the show and not get picked once. Even (not so) 'tremendous knowledge' has been picked a couple of times already.

Well she got picked today and she was useless as was Barry.

They are daft to ignore Chris. Yes he is weak on Sport but he does know a lot.

There would appear to be no point interrupting the quick fire questions and giving a quick answer as Jeremy carries on to ask the full question even when they are correct

Today, it cost the winner the time to answer another question which could make a lot of difference at the end of the day

Shocked they didn't know the Bob Hawke answer. He did so much for Australia's drinking reputation with entry in the record books.

I've given up on these episodes.........I can't see the point of having eggheads there just in case they get picked and just in case the contestant asks them for advice

and Jeremy spending 10 minutes every show explaining the convoluted format

Give the eggs a holiday and just have a contest between the contestants

My thoughts exactly, it is stupid having the eggheads help the contestants, they should be on their own.

It wouldn't really be an Eggheads show if they didn't have them there in some capacity; if you were to dispense with them you might as well just have the competition off camera and not make it into a TV series...

Did make me laugh that bloke picked Lisa and she was clueless and just waffled her way through, all she had to say was I do not know

Neither of those guys were good, but in the quick fire round he dis well
Did feel they were very easy quick fire questions compared to previous episodes
