Bit of a damp show I thought. The captain of the challengers seemed to like laughing at his own jokes, Jeremy was rambling on so much I thought the show would run over.
He also has this knack of being able to piss off each Egghead in seperate ways! ![]() Then they all disregarded Steve in the final round. If there's one thing we know from my stats, listen to Steve in the final round!

Steve got the softest question ever yesterday: In which region of Spain is Barcelona?. Multiple choice to boot. I knew he'd give us his gamut of facial expressions when the question on down-in-that-there-London came up!

The results for the World Quizzing Championships from last year are up and here is how the Eggheads got on.
1 - Kevin Ashman (Strongest Subject - History, Weakest Subject - Science) 3 - Pat Gibson (Strongest Subject - Science, Weakest Subject - Entertainment) 51 - Barry Simmonds (Strongest Subject - History, Weakest - Subject Sport) 496 - Beth Webster (Strongest Subject - Lifestyle, Weakest Subject - History) None of the other Eggheads took part. But some of the other MMAE contestants took part. Gerard Mackay, who was runner up in MMAE finished 79th while Ian Bayley finished 7th. Frankie Fanko who finished in the top 4 in the womens section on MMAE was ranked 334th. Seeing as there is always seen as a slight rivalry between Eggheads and The Chase, The Chasers stats from it are as follows. Only 2 Chasers took part Paul Sinha finished 14th Anne Hegerty finished 55th |

Have to admit, I couldn't think of his real name off the top of my head, but as soon as the choices came up then I knew who 2 of them were so process of elimination.

Judith attempting to do 'northern' was hilarious!
Surprised Kevin got knocked out on the Paul Pogba question, I would have thought the details of a new world record fee is something that quizzers would commit to memory straight away? |

Judith loses on Geography
Steve wins on Politics Kevin loses on Sport Pat wins on Film and Television Dave, Steve and Pat lose meaning the challengers win £6,000 The next show is for £1,000 Surprising to see Kevin go out on what was a fairly simple question that even Chris or Judith could have got. First Steve gets ignored this week and now Pat gets ignored in the Final Round. The Eggheads aren't quite conferring well enough at the moment. First ever loss for Steve in the final round as well if im not mistaken |

Although he got the question right Steve the egghead using the 'before my time' excuse is unforgivable.

Wow! Eggheads very poor today.
You are correct - Steve's first loss in the final round. Kevin really should have got that question - he may be number 1 in the world but he's 3rd or below on Eggheads, I wonder why? Team: very knowledgeable, but not very likeable, team name was pretty pretentious I thought and Jeremy seemed to love them for it. Also, Pat has now been involved in 4 final round defeats, the highest of any Egghead. I feel like he could speak up a lot more and assert himself - the question where he thought the word was Welsh, for example. |
