Apparently it's a re-branded Huawei MediaPad which gives you this info from the Huawei website ..

Quote:
“10.5mm (0.4 inches) deep and weighs approximately 390g.
1080P full HD video playback
1.3 megapixel front facing camera
5 megapixel auto focus rear facing camera
HD video recording capabilities
HSPA+ 14.4Mbps
WiFi 802.11n support.”

Seems okay, but its definitely overpriced. £70 on a £25 per month tariff (24 months), total cost of £670.

The price for the double pack, with a SanFran II comes in at a ridiculous £984.

The Huwaei MediaPad is going for around £320. That price difference could get you a fairly reasonable SIM-only data tariff.

I'm due to upgrade my orange contract around august time so I'd certainly enquire about this as a possible incentive.

as it's orange, i doubt they'd offer anything approaching a decent deal but by that time it might be worth asking i guess.

It's also got a 1.2ghz dual core inside as well apparently.

1.2gHz dual core seems pretty good, and 1280x800 in a 7" screen could look fantastic.

Whilst I'd be tempted by the package, I'd wait until the modding scene get their hands on it - thats the point at which the devices tend to get interesting.

good point actually. you can imagine it's probably stuffed full of orange bloatware so flashing it with something else would be a near necessity.

Its an interesting starting gun being fired, be interesting to see if the other networks dive in now.
