Yeah Madonna and Warner detracted the Black Madonna vibes....which is weird...but true that M,D,N,A will cause such an "uproar" but i just love it.

Brings back the vibes of previous massive controversies...no one does it like Madonna.

i just thought of the pronunciation of her name. I havent got a clue about drugs and neither should people to be fair. MDNA. MuhDuhNa is what I got from it. Not a drugs reference although Ive heard of the drug itself. Silly really. People love to make noise for no reason. It'll sell, She'll sell and people will have to deal with it. C'est la vie.

I guess, Warner had an easy win, on this one and felt very relieved as soon as she decided to drop the idea. To be honest, I'm bored already with this 'uproar'.:yawn: People should know better, if/when Madonna wants to cause (real) controversy, she goes for it, right in!

Black Madonna was so wrong for Hard Candy though. The name didn't suit what the album was.

As it stands, totally agree. But then if she had stuck to that title, we would have had a complete different album, me thinks/hopes.

I hadn't even thought about the Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds/M.D.N.A connection before.

Also with the original Black Madonna/rumour/concept...that was when i think it was early stages and Stu Price was doing some stuff, The Neptunes did some reworkings and Pet Shop Boys were asked too. And I think because she wanted an album similar in vibe to her Emmy/First Album period of her life (Synthpop, Punky Dance styles) she remembers when Everybody was sent to radio and people thought Madonna was Black!

So that in itself would have been interesting.

that was a great interview too, but so long ago. the one big weekend = great album launch. this period, she is taking things up a gear.

I hardly ever judge an album based on its title. I'd prefer to wait for Madonna herself to explain the title at least All I know is that I can't wait for this album!

She said in a snippet on Wednesday when on the red carpet that its her name and a triple entendre....i reckon more to come...but its basicall ywhat we all know and have analysed defintiely.
