He had better!
I seriously think it will be such an insane song...cannot wait to hear.

So do we think that Solveig has done the lead single, Turn Up The Radio and Birthday Song only then.....hmmmmm.

Cannot wait till titles are revealed officially soon etc

April 2nd is a speculated date for release (due to HMV pre-order date already) though unsure if true.

Acording to Madonnarama and Drowned Madonna.

The album will have a standard edition of MDNA and a Special Edition.

As a 12 song standard album it is speculated to be her longest duration album since Erotica and Ray Of Light (both over 65 mins) and the Special Edition may have 3/4 additional songs too.

Masterpiece will be on both MDNA and the WE soundtrack also according to Interscope

Deluxe albums are such a con!

A few pounds extra for 3 tracks. You have to wonder who thought this idea up.

Obviously I will be buying the deluxe but still I see it as such a waste of time.

If you are going to release a deluxe then go all out and give us at least 7 new tracks.

Well Madonna recorded around 25 songs overall with demos included. So maybe there will be more extra songs....hmmmm.

But i will definitely buy the most for my money...MDNA: Special Edition it is!

I just hope they go all out with it!

I hope the Special Edition has an alternate cover or one with alternate colours or 3D or something. And of course extra tracks. Maybe a strand of her DNA.

MDNA... I still think it's a really cool title.

Much more inventive than Talk That Talk, etc.

Showing popbitches how it's done since 1982.

The best thing about it it will be such a punchy memorable title for the sake that controversy was already created, the whole anticipation and reveal of it was out before the moment she discussed it aired on TV lol.

I just cannot wait to see in music and imagery how they really revolve around it, how it feels, looks, sounds, tastes (i know...too deep?) like what kinda vibes are they gonna paint with the album....I cannot wait for each reveal

Despite being one of the worlds best selling artists I have always found Madonnas 'Special Editions' to be among the worst ever released for any artist (American Life SE came in a box with a sheet of stamps fgs!!!!) But now she's left Warners i'm hoping for something decent for a change.

A few extra tracks sounds very promising

Tbh i never really know about previous "special editions" i mean COnfessions and American Life had them biut not Deluxe style. Whereas MDNA will be released as a Deluxe but called Spcial Edition....i think its the way Interscope market Deluxe albums now.

What were they like on American Life and Confessions?

Not very good really. The special edition of Confessions only contained one extra track, Fighting Spirit, and came in a box. American Life was the same.

They were more like Limited Editions really werent they? Harder to find etc. Very very rare to find now really.

But this is the first Special Edition to be "Deluxe" really...unless you count Celebration really which wasnt a studio album and the standard edition ironically was harder to find lol.

Looking forward to see how they will incorporate Masterpeice within MDNA....i mean it was recorded in a simple take i think for W.E so i think it will sound very stripped back compared to the rest of the album...but at the same time i am so glad i will be able to own it without forking out to buy the WE soundtrack lol.

I love how her ballads go against the grain on her albums. I love how Rain stands out like a sore thumb on erotica and TAB on BS, the slower ballads break it up and I'm so glad we have a ballad to listen to now as her last few albums have suffered for not having one IMO

The thing with Rain really incorporates with the vibe of the album....with 4 heavier Dance/Funk/House groove anthems and breaking it down with Where Life Begins and Bad girl and then craking it up again for three songs and then Rain...it is really effective!

And yeah I do love it....but i am so so intrigued as to what she and Orbit have come up with too....the idea with Ballads with Intense Basslines etc sounds just EPIC! I really hope it is perhaps arranged like her balalds on LAP and Erotica....creating a kinda trippy, disjointed flow with it....I love organised chaos and against the grain stuff

I have to be honest. I'm a bit mixed about Masterpiece being on the album.

Part of me thinks it should have been left off it. Like Beauitful Stranger was with Music.

The ironic thing was i wanted Beautiful Stranger ON the Music album but not American Pie....BS would have suited the Psychedelic vibes of the Orbit productions on the Music album....while Pie seems out of place on the end lol.

Also dont forget Beautiful Stranger was recorded a year before Music too which was also why it was left off.

I think it will be cool to have Masterpeice on there because it already is an early triumph of the MDNA "era" already one month in sort of way with the golden globes etc so that is great in itself

To me, that was In This Life. Bad Girl is my favorite ballads out of the 3 but until you get to ITL, each has their place in the order of the album and takes it to another level. you sort of taken through this (dark) fantasy she's created. Then comes ITL and it gets you back to reality with no warning!? In fact, I'll couple it with Why It's So Hard? Even though it's not ballad, it reinforces the vibe you get from ITL and the feeling the world we live(d) in ain't that happy...Erotica is just genius!!!
And I see what you mean about wanting a ballad. I'm happy as well Masterpiece makes the cut. I don't think her last albums suffered not having one because they did get deep, soul-searching down-tempo tracks which took her sonically to places that a ballad couldn't have done. In that sense, How High, Let It Will Be, Devil & Voices are such amazing tracks with the mood they contain just from the beats they're built on...

Yep! Beautiful Stranger would have had its place on Music, most definitely. I guess the problem she had is that It was too close to Amazing - a little gem me thinks!? - and in some ways, BS doesn't belong to any era, totally different from ROL and too obvious lyric-wise to be part of Music...Run would have fitted in really well too!?
I agree though, as much as AP is great cover, it should have been included in the album or at least they have left a significant gap before it starts, as if it was a hidden track. It would have worked much better that way!
