Probably will be, I think various manufacturers might take a few weeks to get the apps up and running. I think Netflix probably worked to ensure the games consoles were ready on day one, but all the various TV's and internet connected Blu Ray players will most likely take a few weeks to appear. Might be worth Tweeting Sony's relevant twitter account to see whats happening but also show that customers want it.

I contacted Sony CS yesterday with regard to this and this is their reply:-
'Thank you for contacting us. I understand you have a query about the Netflix service becoming available on BRAVIA Internet Video products. We cannot confirm if and when this service will become available on our products, this is up to the service providers if they want to include their services on our BIV products. If the service does become available, then your BD player will update automatically to include it. I hope this information is of some assistance. Thank you for your enquiry. Yours sincerely Umar Anwar Customer Information Centre SONY UNITED KINGDOM' |

You would have thought that both parties would be keen to get it on there ASAP. More features for Sony to say are included and more potential customers for Netflix.

The Sony reply seemed pretty conclusive though, it's up to Netflix if they want to appear on Sony products. |

This seems to be syaing it is up to Netflix to decide.
On the same Sony models available in the US, Netflix is available on BIV. |

SO I Tweeted Netflix UK, here is their responce "Hi there, the service is available on over 700 devices. You will need to check with your manufacturer re a specific device."
I kind of believe Netflix over Sony as Sony have allready stated Netflix is going to be on the Vita, so they obviously can pull their fingers out, I dont believe Netflix went to SOny to go on the Vita do you? Also Netflix is going to be on the Sony google TV that is launced this year, I have pre-ordered a roku box as I honestly think we will wait at least 6 months to get this if at all |

I got an email from Lovefilm yesterday saying how they had added some stuff to the streaming package, I noticed that the version on my Sony had not changed so I asked them, thier reply was "I can confirm that the Licensing rights for films on the LOVEFiLM TV service are different from our Watch Online service"
So what is the point! I like Smart TVs etc but seriously if they are going to gimp you in what you can watch it is completely frustrating, I am guessing Netflix will have the same issue? |

do Netflix pay Sony to appear on their TV's?, do Sony pay Netflix to add it to their TV's? - does no one pay at all?.
Personally IPTV will be a key part in decision making for any devices I now buy (as it has been for recent purchases), it is a source of additional content, so why not have access to it? |

I have the Sony BDP S370 and have received the updates. There are now series available eg. Dr Who, Cold Feet, Shamless, Skins and more
That is why I pre-ordered a Roku box, as I have a sneaking feeling that even if Sony bring us Netflix it will be the "limited" version |

We pay Netflix for the content. Netflix pay the content owners for the content, e.g. Sony.
Sony the TV company (or Samsung, or LG, or anyone else) don't get any content payments. |

Got a great solution, joined unblock us.com so I could watch USA netflix, added the DNS into the SOny TV so I got Netflix on it, but still would not work, then I uncovered an article on that Unblock-us that they really should advertise, basically Netflix only allows roaming membership on a select few devices, that they deem portable, but they teach you how to set up a USA netflix account, using your postcode to get a USA zip code, did that, all went through perfectly as they dont want your address just credit card number and Zip code, now I have a lovely USA Netflix working on the Sony TV
![]() can cancel my Roku now, just watched Senna in HD...lovely |

I was reading on the Roku forum that getting the US content to work on it was fiddly. I'd had a few Stella's though, so I could be wrong. Can't help with the Bravia though. I just hook up my TV to a small PC which sits under it and that steams UK and US content just fine via unblock us.

Thanks in advance. 1. join unblock us and set you PC up with their DNS 2. Join Netflix USA (very important you check it is not uk) you just need a Zip Code.. guide here http://support.unblock-us.com/custom...o-i-set-it-up- 3. turn on your Bravia, go to network settings, do a manual set up... guide here http://support.unblock-us.com/custom...rticles/291560 4. refresh internet content. 5. go to netflix on TV launch, when it asks are you a member, choose YES, note code down and web address, got to web address on computer which has the dns change, enter code. 6. Crack a beer and watch Senna and Troll Hunter in HD ![]() 7. you can safely revert back the DNS on your computer back to obtain automatically. you must leave DNS changed on TV though. Hope this helps |

cheers pal, had an issue straight away though, for some reason its keeps saying DNS configuration error when I add their DNS. I've emailed them but dont know what they can do as I've triple checked and followed it word to word.
I think they are having server errors as a load of people have been kicked according to their knowledgebase |

Oh right, that may explain it.
I got a reply back right enough, asked a few Q's and said they are looking into it. Not bad response time for something I.m not paying for yet. |
