Can I turn off the keypad lock?

I've got a Samsung GT-E1080i.

Is there a way to turn off the keypad lock?

Edit: Cancel that.

I've found out how to do it.

The instructions don't tell you though.

Ah, my £2 phone...

If you mean the stupidly short auto-lock, you'll probably want to switch it back on. Manual lock wasn't enough to stop mine sending 3 SMS messages to random contacts from my pocket in the course of a 15 minute drive.

I don't need to lock the keypad, because I'm using it solely as a home phone.

I am going to buy the Samsung E1080 just to use for sending texts and an alarm clock.

How are you finding your phone? Is it easy to use - thanks.

Seems easy enough to use, although I haven't used it much yet.

Can't see it getting a huge amount use TBH.

Glad to hear you solved the problem Bob - I've been trying for ages.
So, how's it done?

Go to Menu>Settngs>Phone.

Option 3 is Keypad auto-lock.

Select that and change from On to Off.

I hate this phone, sorry lol

I used it for a few days after my iphone was stolen, whilst waiting for my replacement sim to come so I could go and get something else. It was a nightmare. Hard to use, hard to send texts. Didn't realise how much I'd gotten used to smart phones until I had to use this one.

I'm glad you like it though OP.

I don't use it enough, to be bothered if I like it.

I only use it for receiving calls at home, so cheap and simple was the way to go.

Agreed, These type of phones are really not meant for people that need a smartphone with them all the time.

But for calls and texts it does the job well.

Quite.

It's standing in for a land-line, so it doesn't even need to do texting.
