Chelsee or Nancy for Alesha's old job?
Nancy Dell'Olio, who came last almost every week in the judges scoreboard, shouldn't even be being considered. The only thing worse would be if they were to sign Russell Grant as a judge.
Unless the article got its facts wrong Nancy couldn't have persuaded Moira to have her as judge because Moira left Strictly three months ago.

I could watch her dance to Pasha's choreography all day long but ,listen to her trying to articulate an opinion of other performances?
I adore how she moves, but she just does it;I don't think she understands how she does it or how good it looks to many and thus will be ill equipped to judge the value of another persons dancing.
Still,if it were to happen,she might surprise me,there is a precedent.

Either would finally make me choose the 'off' button permanently. Under MR I'd have actually believed that both were being considered, but I'm hoping under the new regime that common sense will prevail.

She'll be taking over from Paxman on Newsnight next. Here we go again, people who are liked in one field, now being told they will be excellent in any other.
I'm not sure that considerable experience in the field of dance is necessary for the role.
It seems to me that the judges work as a team - each primarily taking care of a different aspect of the performance, but all four with some common ground.
Craig's main focus seems to be the technical side.
Bruno's is the artistic side.
Len looks at everything, but not in such fine detail as Craig and Bruno.
Alesha seemed to focus on the look and feel of the performance, trying to judge it more as would the average viewer.
It looks to be a big ask to get Chelsee to a position where she could earn respect if she took over the Alesha role (elocution etc) - but if she was indeed capable of delivering a verdict on a performance which was always impartial and demonstrated some knowledge of the technical requirements of the various dances, imagine how she and Bruno might interact

As they are looking for somebody to judge dances I'm guessing that it would be better to go for the best dancer in a series rather than a winner of a series.

although i love chelsee, it wiuld be a step backwards for her. she is NOT a dance expert, and imagine the insults she would from all the tossers who couldn't get over the boob job. anyway i doubt she would take the role, even if she was offered it:she barely believed she could dance so i doubt she would feel qualified to judge it.

'They' need to create ongoing interest in the show until the next series so approximately once a month, 2 new hopefuls will be paraded in front of us so 'they' can guage *popular demand*.

Nancy!!!! What a brilliant choice for new Judge. Oh Nancy and Bruno would make a lovely set of sparring partners. It would be hysterical. I am so excited at the prospect, I do so hope that this gets taken seriously.
