Excuse me? What is with the attitude? I asked you a fairly normal question. For your information my cat only goes into my back garden for a very short time any noise and he is straight back in. He does NOT go into my neighbours garden and DOES NOT go out hunting. He is terrified of birds, even the sparrows. Therefore I do feed the birds including the seagulls knowing they are totally safe in my garden. An apology would be nice..........
Sorry, i was expecting the worst from you, as so many cat owners will jump to defend themselves over letting a cat outside. It shows you are responsible
Yes, we all appreciate people have different opinions but we wish that some like SCDchick would stop foisting hers on us time and time again ad nauseum. Pet lovers come on this forum to read about other peoples pets, not to be preached at.

I would suggest if she doesn't, people are likely to post far worse things than "give it a rest" or "get off your high horse" which IMO are not rude, disrespectful or insulting at all.
Thats how i and many others feel when we try to reason with certain cat owners

The very fact that you use the words "inflict your pet onto others" is a clear indication of your agenda here. You have such an astonishingly simplistic and blinkered view of the world that it's really not worth the effort to engage you in debate.

One last thing to clear up - I have an indoor cat so your belief that I'm one of your imaginary army of cat wranglers, despatching their pets to kill all "wildlife" and defecate through letter boxes, is incorrect.
Come on.....If a person knowingly lets the cat out to go where it pleases knowing that they kill wildlife and crap on others lawns etc etc, it pretty much is inflicting it on others, who choose not to own a cat. This is what happens. There are a lot of problems with free roaming cats

By the way, good on you for having an indoor cat

Poblet, i understand about a cats nature to hunt, but thats where toys and `play` come in provided by the owner. Theres no need for them to go out catching wildlife, unlike the wild animals who do it for food and survival. The wild life you rescued from your cats may have died later from stress

So would you care to explain what you said yesterday (extremely silly comments about cats crapping in letterboxes aside) or was the debate too challenging for you?

I found your comment amazing as i thought with you being a supposedly indoor cat owner you would have some understanding of where i was coming from. I will just take it the argument was too challening for you and you are perhaps in denial of whats kitties get up to when let outside

Good on those of you who do have indoor cats
