nuts...ah well - no more generic rubbish....

but they did have a different sound to them....

why do all the drummers have to die neways - is it tradition?
and why do all the bands have to have a member that shoot's themself's?

conspirisy i think...

what makes someone who seemingly has it all commit suicide?
The guy only got married last year.

Im a big Feeder fan and only saw them last November at Wembley Arena when they supported the Stereophonics. Its incredibly upsetting news, and a tragedy as Feeder looked to have finally cracked the charts well and proper.

2001 was a year of hits and awards, a real breakthrough year. It will be a great shame if they dont continue.

Jon, you will shine like the sun

sorry - tis just my outlook on life...
i see suicide as a 'wimps way out'. somthing only a fool would do..
see we are here to enjoy life as it is - so whats the point in ending somthing before your supposed to do so.
but hey - thats what depression does to u - makes u stronger as a person....
but if u take the wimps way out, then u affect too many people and so not only are u stopping yourself from doing nething amazing, but u also effect everyone else's lifes.
whats the point? - stay here, enjoy yourself and help other people rather than going out the very selfish way....

I have to agree with Sam’s comments on "wimps way out" having been in the unfortunate situation of a close family member trying "that way" but without success 8-)

But some people can see no alternative than ending it all and I have a lot of sympathy with Jon as he must have been in a lot of mental pain.

Rest in Piece Jon Lee...

I got an e-mail sent from Worldpop and I'm astound that someone who's band had cracked it in the charts has had to go, so young. According to the reports he committed suicide on Monday, but the new has just been released yesterday.

I agree they did have a different sound and I liked what music they did make. I hope when the time comes that the band don't split up. A tragic loss.

that is a horrible comment. i couldn't even come close to imaging what would be going through someones mind to make them do something like take their own life.

i only recently got into Feeders great music and as mentioned in an earlier post, it would be a shame if they stopped because of this
RIP Jon Lee

Apparently Jon's family have said to Grant and the rest of Feeder that they must carry on, as the band was something that Jon loved a great deal and he wouldn't have wanted the band to stop. I hope they do carry on, but Grant and Jon were good friends, so the band will need a bit of a break for sure, while they get over this, and wile they find a new drummer.

well i have come close - i dont say this without reason. im stating this is kinda my veiw now after i stopped myself before i did the worst possible thing u can do. depression may be a bad thing - but if your strong and u pull though - then you will only become a stronger person. however we have some people who do have a LARGE amount of stuff going on at the same time. this is when the danger becomes. if ya get ko'ed before you have had the chance to pick yourself up, then your a lost cause. unfortunatly this is the way the world works. one day it will change and hopefully we can all help toward this...
