Would rather see a dog dressed up and loved than one neglected..doesnt mean I approve..but as long as they dont mind then I dont see the harm.

I've never looked past page 2 in this forum so don't know if this has been done to death already, but does anybody have any opinions on clothing animals?
Personally I think it's hideous and borders on cruelty, but I'm not sure what I base that opinion on. She'll have your arm off at 10 paces if she thought you were trying to "dress" her

When I was about 5 or 6 I used to put dolls clothes including a bonnet on one of our cats and put him in the Dolls pram he was a lovely cat and had such a soft nature that he didn't make a fuss and just let me do it to him. I wouldn't put anything on my cat now maybe a bit of tinsel at Christmas time but it would come off almost straight away.

Grooming is important to a cat so wouldn't leg warmers, or any sort of coat, interfere with that? Dogs don't groom themselves which may be why many tolerate wearing garments
By the way - I was in the park earlier last year and saw no fewer than three old ladies with dogs in prams ![]() ![]() I'd only put them on him for short periods of time so I could revel in his adorableness ![]() When I was in New England a couple of years back my Mum kept on seeing this woman walking a cat in a pram with the cat dressed up in baby clothes
